Did he? His face looks a little porky still. Any news on who he may be looking at as an opponent if no Ortiz?

Rios is 9 pounds away from fight weight. He can lose that in a few days. However he has been training nonstop for months. He is sharp and ready right now and there are good offers on the table other than.Ortiz. Besides, they feel Ortiz is playing games so screw him.

gahDAMN I cant stand ellie lol...

anyways, I can understand where Rios is coming from not wanting to risk waiting for Ortiz to just have him yet again pull out or put it off, but at the same time Im thinking... its not that big of a wait for what is probably Rios's BEST option right now. Just call the bluff... wait for Ortiz, then make the fight. I think this fight is big enough for Rios, both in terms of being the only marketable fight that he could actually win, getting some momentum back for his comeback in a fight many will be tuning in to see, and also a nice paycheck to top it off. If you dont, and Ortiz decides to fight someone else, and he gets KO'd again.... it could be the nail in the coffin of a Rios vs Ortiz fight.

Id just tell him to wait for Ortiz.

Kirk I agree. Ortiz is facing possible jail time. The delay of the fight is due to his upcoming court date.

Brandon's team is in negotiations for another bout. They are tight lipped about with who.
