Brandon Rios on Adrien Broner "He thinks hes the next Mayweather, he aint ****

If Rios and Broner ever hook up, it would be exactly what Mayweather vs. margarito would look like. Brawler come walking in, getting hit and having to chase the boxer all night.

Margarito was a hell of a pressure fighter and if you didn't know how to box and move he would wear on you, but for skilled guys he would be a sitting duck. Cotto showed a perfect blueprint in the second fight. Cotto just don't have 12 round stamina.

Its Floyd/Gatti but it would take a bit longer.

 

Those are, IMO, significant advantages. Especially when combined with Broner's commitment to Rios' (at times soft) body.

I love Rios but he's tailormade for Broner and would get a beating.

 

Rios while good at what he does is there to be hit. He wants to go to war. That won't work against a a guy who's faster hits just as hard and has better overall boxing ability. Rios is too one-dimensional to beat Broner who's more varied. People taking about Broner getting hit but what the **** about Rios, who east shots continuously. I guarantee you that he won't be smiling after 6 rounds of getting hit with flush shots he doesn't see.

 

Expected response, Who has Broner beat that can even compare to anybody on Rios's resume?

Look I'm a Rios fan who but who has he beaten? I was impressed by the way he beat Acosta but outside of him he got a gift against Abril and Alvarado is a nobody. Broner will beat Rios to the punch all night land the cleaner and harder blows. He's a much better technical fighter than Rios and that will be the difference.

His win over Alvarado is impressive thats a solid Jr Welter weight.

I wouldnt say he got a gift with Abril I say he had the right judges who prefer his style rather than Judges who credit fighters when they hold.

I am sorry but that holding **** is not for me I cant stand it, its hard to for me to score a round for a guy that holds that much sorry but to me its not skill and should not be rewarded.

Holding is not a method of scoring, so I dont agree that Rios got a gift in that fight. he won a fight against a guy who was doing everything in his power to not make it a fight at all... the 1st moment Rios cracked him Abril held on for the rest of the fight....

I can understand where you're coming from Abril was a spoiler in there at times but he did indeed win. I also forgot his win over Anthony Peterson which was impressive considering the way he took his heart. With that said I would still pick Broner due to styles. Lets just hope this fight can be made.

Abril is a **** fighter, holding does not score you points and that mother ****er did more holding than fighting in there.
