On Saturday, I was a faculty advisor for a soccer game...came home, relaxed and college football watched the WNBA finals, the Fiba mens semifinals, my Penn State Nittany lions lose, and saw a good fight.

Brandon Rios is a player in the lw division. He looked like he was a lot bigger than Peterson at 135. I hope he doesn't follow in Cotto's foot steps and take on smaller men at 135 knowing that he belongs at 140 or 147 maybe. With that said, I was impressed. Rios did what he had to do to a guy who couldn't hurt him. Walk him down. Peterson fouled, and was beaten up every round until the fight was stopped. Good win for Rios.

Gamboa is a skilled guy who fights according to the level of his comp. I thought he could've taken Salido out, but he cruised. The taller JuanMa will give him trouble, but he will be trouble himself. Can either beat Caballero or John. We need a 4 fight tournament between these 4.

I am going to catch Wlad-Peter soon. This is the sport we love. When PAc and Floyd leave, boxing will need to someone to be the ambassador of the sport. Right now I see no one on the horizon.
