Just imo, but I think boxing troubles Rios more then pressure troubles Broner. Rios sometimes looks lost when his opponent dont trade with him.

If they fought, id have to favor Broner as of now.

And as Rios's style continues to chip away at his sharpness, I see the result only getting more in Broners favor as time passes.

well before we start getting into the who what when and how, make the ****ing fight, dont blame Arum if GBP sends a shitty offer... make the ****ing fight lets see the fight then discuss.

I have no idea how you all assume this is an easy fight for Broner..... he is not the next mayweather

Broner on paper is better than Rios in every category, faster, smarter, better skills, better defense & power, I also have a feeling Broner has a pretty decent chin although we haven't really seen it tested...

Yes Broner gets hit at times but that's because he very offensive and didn't respect, his opponents power, go back and watch the pdl fight, Broner didn't take any clean head shots it was all body work by Ponce, that was due to Broner respecting Ponce's power, again yes he struggled with pdl but he came on later in the fight and landed the much cleaner blows...

Every fighter in history has had trouble with a fighter at some point in their careers so that fight is irrelevant and Adrien has improved a lot since then and I would pick him to KO Ponce If they fought again...

As for Rios it would be an interesting fight but ultimately I think he takes a few early rounds but gases and takes a ton of punishment before the ref or his corner stops it, Broner is fast, throws really good combos, has above average power, is explosive, can box from the outside and can fight on the inside, if Broner feels he can't handle Rios' power I expect him to potshot his way to a victory, he's a smart fighter and won't get caught up in a tough man competition like Alvarado...but I'm going with Broner by TKO all day...

Also if Mike Alvarado would have just boxed more mid range he would have beaten Rios...

Honestly at first I thought this would be an easy win for Broner. But the more I see him ight if he uses that come forward style against Rios it would be all bad. If he decided to just fight from the outside and move I still think easy fight for Broner.

Would love the 24/7 of this one though.

This is how you know boxing is failing all of it's fans. You have fans wanting fights to happen, but aren't hopeful because of the failure of promoters not agreeing on things.

Mike got hit with a nasty body shot about 2 rounds before the stoppage thats why he stopped boxing, his trainer even acknowledged that body shot at the end of that round, "u got hit with a good body shot we know its okay"

So the whole if Mike would have boxed more, he couldnt Rios cut the distance nailed him with Body shots and took his legs away.... the first two rounds in that fight I think misled Mike into believing he could stand in there and trade with Rios... and he did in spots, I expected Mike to Box for the first half and turn it on later.......

I expect him to try that in the rematch but I also believe Rios will find a way to win....

Broner hasn't fought at 140. With the way he fights (standing in the pocket, walking guys down) I would like to see him at that weight.

Does he have the hand and foot speed to give Rios problems? Sure. But can he take the hard body shots and keep going?

I think the argument is, Broner doesn't need to fight exactly like Abril to win. Abril's stance nullified much of what Rios was doing, simply the stance. Rios doesn't throw enough straight shots to counter it effectively (so far).

And just as you say that Broner doesn't fight like Abril, Abril doesn't punch like Broner. Who's to say that Rios can just walk through a whole night of power shots from Broner?

There are too many unknowns without Broner having a single fight at 140 yet.

I know, but I don't think he's silly enough to say that Rios was effective in much of his offense against Abril. :yep
