There is also talk of moving the bouts 50 miles from Garden City to a 6000 seat casino arena in Dodge City, Kansas.

I have my doubts that Victor's team would go for the move. Victor is not all that popular here. Another reason would be the arena would be filled with local fans and there would no room for anyone else.

Both of these guys should've retired a while ago. They're both punch drunk fighters at this stage in their careers. It's kind of shocking how Rios still gets offers for fights considering how awful he's looked in recent memory. Same goes with Ortiz who really has been a terrible fighter now for easily 4 + years.

I'm not trying to troll in this thread, but why exactly would anyone want to watch this fight between 2 past their prime fighters who were mediocre at best during their peak?

I don't know, may because they both hate each other. Or may be it is a good style match up. Or may be because there are thousands, if not millions of fans excited to see. Or lastly, maybe because Ward vs Gatti was years ago. I would wonder about the ball count of any man who did not want to see this bout.

I share many of your concerns, but I honestly think that the back story, build up and action would make up for any physical ability either has lost.

I forgot to mention the back story and bad blood history between the two.

Is anyone tired of this old saga? Just get the fight on. I will watch and be amped up for. Let him has it out and let it be. There's much more to boxing that I'm excited about and this is so 5 years ago if not more.
