Soto has never been down in his career. He is a pretty slick and crafty boxer but definitely is not the power puncher he once was @ 130. @ 140, I think Rios would give him hell, and probably have Soto in some trouble. Whether or not Rios could score the KO is another story altogether though. But, it would be a very close fight much like Soto-Antillon was.
Last night should have given you just a TAD of an indication as how much better Rios is than Antillion. The truth is.... its gonna take a special fighter to beat Rios. Or at least a fighter with some special quality about them. Humerto Soto is NOT that. Rios stops him late, after giving him a beating.
Rios IS the 135lbs division. (No fighter @ that WT. class can beat him) Imagine IF Valero was still around. (I'm talking about the in ring talent not the monster in his private life... So don't start w/The HATE)
Hmmmm Soto vacated 135 title Left TR promotions. Moved up to 140. That dude wants nothing to do with Rios.. the guy he went life and death with RIos took him out in 3... Soto relieved he made the correct moves to avoid rios.
Rios is bigger and stronger than Antillon, and that is why he won. And Antillon DID hurt Rios in their fight. Soto would not fight Rios in the same way that Antillon fought him. Surely watching Soto fight Antillon would have given you just a TAD of an indication as to how much differently Soto would fight a guy like Rios.
