Brandon Rios vs Marcos Maidana

Didn't he rehydrate to 152 in his last fight?

 

That's something I'd love to see. Rios walking through punches to wear an opponent down, may not be a good idea against a beast like Maidana. But I’m not discounting his chances. He’s tough enough to take heaps of punishment in the process.

But as it stands, I’ll probably take Maidana.

 

I'd say Maidana coz he is more proven than Rios

rios was an olympic level amateur and had some good fights in the pros, he takes this.

When I watch Rios I think, wow, this guy is not a world class athlete. He's kind of a slob who is unsually tough and strong. I think Maidana takes it and I think he outboxes him easily too before the KO. Nothing in Rios really impresses me that pitty patter guy he fought was hitting him at will and had no game plan, no power, and just okay punch resistance. You don't walk through flush shots like that from a powerful guy. I don't think Rios does well on the really elite level but has a bit more boxing skills than say, Ponce, who will beat anyone chinny and then should have lost every round to Penalosa if the cards were not cooked.
