Ive seen Vazquez counterpunching skills against Zappavigna and he seems to be a slippery type of fighter, and I believe that a fight against Rios would be good to watch. Rios, on the other hand, is a confident young fighter who loves to pressure opponents, and his fight against Acosta has proven his toughness.

Winner would then have to fight Soto or even JMM for the undisputed title

    Who would win this match?

Brandon rios will stop him late, vasquez is solid but he does nothing outstanding, he doesnt have the power to keep rios off him for 12 rounds,

Vasquez has a damn good chin and a slick defense... I think hed be the hardest fighter to ko at LW... Has been in there with bigger fighters like Canelo(twice) Bradely and huge punchers Zappa,Kim,Prescott and took there shots well.. Im a huge Rios fan but this would be a tough fight, ill go with Rios by close decision..But i can just as easily see Vasquez pulling out a decisio too... Style wise this is probably the toughest guy he could fight at LW(besides Marquez).

Well varquez wins the early rounds obviously.

Rios would start to come on strong and maybe even take over at about round 7/8 but would he apply enough pressure to make vasquez fold? I dunno. I think he would be the hardest puncher vasquez has faced but his chin has proven very solid to date.

That being said his two victorious opponents are both bigger fighters so perhaps he is there to be pressured by the right type of style.

I say this is a razor close fight with rios being a slight favourite due to his marquee victories.
