Nice! Hadn't seen that before. And yeah, no doubt, this does have Corrales-Castillo written all over it. Don't think there'll be any knockdowns, but I do think one of them (most like Alvarado) will be stopped from coming out for one of the rounds.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rios touched the canvas. Alvarado has more one shot power. i just think Rios is too active, especially to the body, for Alvarado to survive. Bam Bam late TKO

That's the way I see it, too. Alvarado, against Prescott, has shown that he can be overwhelmed when a hard-punching opponent takes it to him. How this fight goes will depend a lot on how he -- known for coming on strong later -- takes the punishment in the early rounds. Will he have enough to mount anything later? War of attrition, peoples.

Seriously??? Has everyone beat Andre Dirrell in the amateurs???:D Can't say I'm suprised though. Dirrell even smells a puncher and he's running for his life.:-(

Yeah, he comes across very well in interviews. He's had a lot of experience growing up in a boxing family, and for his young age he's been in with a **** load of great fighters for sparring - Pacquiao, Izzy Vasquez, Valero, Morales, etc. Wise beyond his years, and always providing great insight.

One thing I'm also noticing(watching the Herrera and Prescott fights tonight), is that Mike keeps his elbows too far out, exposing his body. Rios' left hook downstairs could be a weapon.

Rios' problem is that he doesn't move his head while not punching, so he gets caught up the middle, especially with uppercuts a lot.

You know, they both share similar weaknesses. In addition to the ones you mention for Alvarado, he has the same problem you've noted for Rios. He too is way too vulnerable for shots up the middle. That'll spell trouble as Rios himself also has a great pair of uppercuts and a very powerful jab when he uses it.

So yeah, both guys will play straight into eachothers strengths. It'll just come down to your good old: whoever gets tired from punching, loses.
