Ya it definitely is a tough call. I mean Rios has beaten top fighters at 130 in Peterson, Acosta and Antiollion. Alvarado was given hard fights by Prescott and Hurrera. Two guys I think Rios would quite easily dominate. But styles make fights and when two punchers fight eachother pretty much 100% of the time I go with the guy who can take the other man's punch. Cause in a fight like that it is almost always the tougher/bigger dawg in the fight wins.
We've seen Rios buckle against Acosta. Prescott hit Alvarado with everything including the kitchen sink. Alvarado took his **** and laughed it off. If I had to bet who could take the other guy's stuff I'd bet its alvarado not Rios. But somehow I still can't pick Alvarado in this fight cause I'm just not convinced by his ability.
I Broke my rule in the bute Froch fight, thinking that Bute's skills were just going to be too much for him. We know how that turned out. But Bute was untested against top level fighters and Froch was a known commodity. What do we know about alvarado? Not much....other then he can take a beating if he has to.

I've gone back and forth on who to pick in this fight several times. But I think I've made up my mind for good now. I'm riding with Rios. And if I'm wrong but he goes down in a blaze of glory I'm still gonna enjoy this fight! Props to both guys for taking what they know is going to be a ****ing war!

any fight will always be better seen on a big screen hd tv, its more about the atmosphere and the event.

Brandon Rios will come from way behind to put Alvarado in trouble in the end stretch, that is all I can say. Whether Alvarado goes down like Miguel Acosta or not, that entrirely depends on Mike.

Wrong....Alvarado has no where near the lateral movement, speed, and boxing ability that Acosta showed that night against Rios.

Alvarado doesn't need that type of boxing ability because he makes it up with power and size not only that h2h Alvarado has the better boxing iq. Acosta was able to rock Rios imagine a jrmw Alvarado landing on him all night...

close fight but im going with alvarado.
