    The Barrera of years gone by would have been a brilliant match-up for a guy like Rios but at this point, I don't want to see a well past prime Barrera get beat up on by younger guys who can punch like Rios. It would be sad to see.

    Rios' last five wins might be the best such streak anyone at lightweight has.

    Teron, Peterson, Lowther, Acosta, Antillon. All very good wins.


    I think he's just a shade ahead of Miguel Vazquez. (Last five: Prescott, Kim, Dominguez, Zappavigna, Aguilar)

    Molina has five straight wins, but only one is really good (Lundy, and Lundy isn't really better than any of the above or as good as a couple).

    Guerrero came close with wins over Arrieta, Casamayor, Escobedo, and Katsidis after moving up to LW, but is making himself ineligible by moving up to challenge Maidana.

    I still think Katsidis would be fun. Wow, Rios adds a lot to boxing around 135-140.

    Rios would do to Marquez what the lighter punching and less resilient Diaz and Katsidis couldn't, certain of it.

    Marquez should be a defining scalp for a young primal force like Rios, not a meaningless $$$ producer for Pacquiao.

    Yeah thats true but thats in October. Hopefully the winner of that in early 2012?

    But that would probably be for the 140lb title, Rios should stay at 135 for the time being.

    I call for Matthyse to go down to 135 and fight Rios there
