What a warrior Rios is and he enjoys brawling, but I am not impressed with him as a boxer who can beat the elite level fighters, but if he is given a guy to brawl with he looks well. Pacman will beat him if he still has some skills. Can you imagine Rios vs. the Gatti who fought Ward? Not sure who I pick. Probably Gatti.
One fight I would like to see is Judah vs. Rios. That is an interesting fight. Judah couldn't take many punches, but his straight punches down the middle and speed would be interesting against the style of Rios. The fight would be determined on if Judah could calm the fight down and not let Rios turn it into a brawl. Judah would have to hurt Rios early to slow him down and make him respectful of Judah's punch. This is the fight I want to see. I still don't think Rios deserves Manny or JMM He should have to knockout Khan or Judah before he gets Manny or JMM. Khan vs. Rios is good also, but Khan would have to fight a counterpunching fight and not brawl at all or he would be stopped. I think Khan beats Rios and Rios probably stops Judah. But good fights. Rios is guaranteed for good fights.

at Welterweight around next year once ortiz heals his broken jaw. rios imo is not too small against the current WWs. he still looks a bit drained weighing at LWW and he took some good punches from a big puncher like alvarado. the question is, could rios take the heat from rios' constant pressure?

I doubt Ortiz would quit. He might lose, but he's got too much pride to quit against a personal rival.

Oh, and this is another GBP-TR fantasy fight. You can stop dreaming now.

Um he quit twice already(altho I can't him with the Lopez one). But still.....
He mentally broke down against floyd and Peterson. Rios would be on his ass all night.

I used to say Ortiz all day and still lean towards him but after the Josesito fight I'm not so sure he has what it takes.

Ortiz is a pretty big WW who I think could easily fight at 154 imo. Rios has just moved to 140, so size-wise Ortiz has a considerable enough advantage. People forget that he was ahead on the scorecards in the Lopez fight, but that loss may catch up to him if Rios (or any opponent) takes him to deep waters and makes him question himself. I think the could and probably should beat Rios, but it would depend on his mental state which is a bit of an unknown at this stage.

Ortiz is inconsistent as hell total opposite of Rios. I honestly don't think any welter can ko Bam Bam with the exception of Bailey, but if Rios lays down too much pressure not allowing time to load bombs not even Bailey would be able to land. Vic is a mental midget and until he learns to contain himself he isn't going to improve. Vic would need to overpower Rios and not force the ko or he'll be the one getting ko'd. Both have sparred and know each other well supposedley Victor getting the upperhand, but that was then and this is now. Rios has a chip on his shoulder with Ortiz and a fighter out for revenge is one you do not **** with. Ortiz needs to get back to the Berto version Ortiz because anything less won't cut it. He looked alil soft vs Lopez like if he was looking past him.

Hey man what about a Lopez-Ortiz rematch? First fight wasn't actually bad it was good. Both are GBP and actually more likely to happen then a Rios-Ortiz grudge match as their promoting companies have their own grudge.

Letting guys tee off on him like he does, he starts fighting bigger and bigger guys Rios is going to be done by the time he's 30. Ortiz can crack alot harder than Mile High Mike. Bam Bam isn't fighting LW's anymore, Arum will cash him out with Pacquiao in April maybe.
