It's a fight that can actually happen a huge storm is a brewing and El Ciclon is approaching the land :D another big storm is already present in land, there will be a collision. :!:

With Gamboa now publicly stating he wants Rios as his next fight, and going as far as to say that he never said he can win but he is Confident in being able to try and secure the win whats not to like about the guy....

With Rios stating he has stayed at 135 with one person in mind and his name is Gamboa, he has gone as far as to hire a strength and conditioning coach in order to be able to healthily stay at 135 and prolong a much needed move to 140 just for this fight.

The fighters want it, both are TR. Now it's ARUMS's move.... Will he bake it! and hopefully not destroy it by prolonging it, I hope not... This fight seems like a great fight in the making. The Boxing skills and speed of Gamboa Vs. The Sheer power and pressure of Rios. Yes there is a sizeable difference in Size, but Gamboa posseses' some Great skills to make it last at least until his eventual Destruction Loss by TKO :deal

I agree that it's a dream fight. Rios can crack, there's a reason everyone succumbs, I don't think Gamboa would be the exception. Rios by TKO. I'm also assuming Rios would be the underdog. If by some chance Gamboa was the underdog and/or the public was betting large on Rios, then I would put my money on Gamboa. Very intriguing match that I hope gets made!

its an overhyped mismatch. Rios is too big and too strong for Gamboa. Gamboa cant hurt Rios and i doubt he could stan the pressure for 12 rounds. its gonna be Rios Vs. Acosta all over again. it might end sooner cuz gamboa is smaller than acosta

I think Rios' chin and pressure would be difficult for Gamboa, but I don't know if Rios' can pin him down, Gamboa has good wheels and is ultra quick. I think it would be similar to the Acosta fight...with Gamboa having a lot of success early, but Rios eventually catching him and if he gets him in a corner or on the ropes...well you know what will happen. I'd go Rios late stoppage.

I can't believe people voted Gamboa TKO. Rios has a granite chin. Takes punches to gives them. He stalks yo ass and walks through punches if he has to.

yea, that's what I was thinking. If anything, Gamboa by decision.

I like both fighters don't get me wrong, but I think Gamboa needs more wins to prove himself vs elite opposition from 122-130. 122lbers can move up to face him. Rios like Gamboa is an A level fighter, but Gamboa would need to test the waters first vs a Linares and then Katsidis before taking on a beast like Rios. Plus Rios looks like he's outgrowing 135. Despite looking physically horrible and zombie like Rios was still able to land a beating on a tough fighter. That should tell you something about Rios's toughness and even on his worst day that guy is still a force to reckon with. I'd be surprised if this fight really does materialize.

Gamboa will box his ears off.

By the time this fight happens, I think the 135 pound limit will be an excuse for why Rios lost.

that's the reason dream matches like this never end up getting made. the time is now or never. can't hold off on this for 2 or 3 years like every other fantasy match that fails to get made.

Then Factor in that Gamboa has to move from 126-135 2 weight classes above to a fighter who struggles to make 135 and is most likely a natural WW.

i would love to see gamboa vs katsidis first. He is by far better boxer than Rios but the size difference is remarkable and rios has an above average chin.

Gamboa is the better fighter but unfortunately Rios is bigger and stronger...

Gamboa is tailor made for Rios, unless he actually boxes. I don't see Gamboa sticking to a gameplan. He'll trade toe to toe until he gets KTFO by Rios in 4.

I love Rios. But when did he become Superman.

You do gotta love the fact, that theres almost zero chance of Gamboa trying to box em with a gameplan.
