I bet for pacqiou (even if in decline) to have too much power, speed and experience, and to knock out the overly open Bradley in or before the middle rounds. Would be entertaining to see otherwise.
This is an interesting sort of fight by circumstances Bradley is a funny case of an opponent Upside young hungry undefeated very motivated guy with a hard style to cope with Downside big gap in experience may not have the power to change the fight going up in weight is shorter and has never been in a fight of this magnitude What Bradley has to do Bradley doesnt fit the bill as the guy most writers posters and pundits say has the style to beat Manny....most see the Morales 1 and JMM 1-3 and say its a guy like that a boxer puncher who fights off the back foot and counters and jabs and shoots a straight right hand Bradley is not that Well he has 2 options Logic vs a guy like Pac says 2 things either get to him early hit the body slow him down and take him late....or stay away fight on the outside early avoid the storm figure him out and time him then come after him late I dont think Bradley is capable of winning fighting a cautious defensive fight, its not his style, i dont know if he has the tools to pull it off, and if he did would the judges give him the nod, JMM boxed Manny brilliantly in the 3rd fight and was sent home empty handed, Mannys style is tough to win rounds against when fighting defensive because he is flashy and throws many punches this stuff seems to sway most judges Bradley i think has to make it as close to a street fight as he possibly can, use his head forearms elbows tie up clinch step on his feet do what ever it takes to get Manny angry and out of focus and off his rhythm, strategically he has to hit the body early and take him to the ropes and corner and rough him up I know this sounds bad and its not within the rules but i think if Bradley is gonna win he has to butt him and cut him in the early going this will off set Manny immensely and change the dynamic in the fight I pick Manny by decision whether it goes 12 or is shortened by cuts from a clash of heads the fight like floyd cotto has a great chance of being very exciting
it can go either way but I believe Manny has slowed down, Evidence of this in his last fight and even with Mosley he just didnt have that same fire he once had. Sure sure we hear about his personal problems but we always do so who knows if they are real or made up to sell the fight. Why do I think Manny is slowing down? its been ten years since he beat Barrera this is about the mark in which fighters slow down, DLH entered the scene big in 95 beating Chavez and was done by 2005. Look at Floyds last outting, he has slowed down as well these guys are in their 30s man....
I think it is going to be a short night. I like Bradley, but I think he is going to be taken out before round 5. One of the things I love about boxing is the intangibles, these tend to be things the casual fan misses. I have not liked the look of Bradley in recent interviews, not looking relaxed, very tense. I have lost count of fighters who have lost before they got in the ring, I think the signs are there.
Have been thinking the same thing. Depends which Manny shows up. He hasn't looked no where near the same since he became a congress man or whatever it is. That being said if the Manny of old shows up he'll beat Bradley like a bass drum. We'll all find out soon enough anyhow. Just hoping for a good fight myself.
