Edren Dapudong of the Phillipines smoked Jesus Jimenez in one round for the vacant WBC silver Flyweight title. Jimenez was down twice in the first round. Dapudong's camp was very confident going into this fight as Edren was the faster man between the two and he was even sparring with Koki Kameda in training camp. Kameda had said that he was very impressed with Edren in sparring. So, bottom line is, he's another guy to keep an eye on. http://philboxing.com/news/story-40396.html
NICE! The only thing that really concerned me for him in this fight was the fact that he took the fight on short notice and he only gave himself a couple of days to travel to Mexico. I always worry about the travel for fighters because jet lag is no joke!! But, it obviously didn't bother him. I just wish I could've seen the fight.
Never heard of Dapudong nor seen him figth. But since he won a bullcrap title I guess that meand Nino/Daudong is next huh.
Yeah, I've read a few things on him in the last year or so. I had a feeling he was going to starch Jimenez...didn't realize he'd do it in the 1st round though.
