    1) Let's take a moment to appreciate the heart and bravery of Takam, 12 days notice and he troubled Joshua and took him deep. Most of the hardcores here realized that Takam was no joke, where are the people who called him a bum?

    2) The stoppage was too early, the ref should've at least let Takam go down.

    3) Takam's stock just went waaaayyy up. Parker's to some extent as well, clearly he is good enough to be competitive with Joshua as well.

    4) Joshua isn't as good as his fanboys think. How many times have I been told that no one without size and weight could compete with Joshua? Ali? Tyson? Too small eh?

    5) Joshua is still learning and improving, he's not the finished product yet.

    6) That being said, Joshua is a good guy and a gentleman, he's great for the sport and is still an excellent fighter.

Somebody who has the skill to go in and out the pocket and slip punches like Takam can, but with more pop, would KO clunky Joshua. Povetkin especially would get him out of there.

Joshua really needs to lose some weight, he was too heavy, the stoppage was premature, but overall it was a good fight and a decent performance by Joshua hopefully we see Joshua vs Wilder in 2018.

Joshua really took a dive in my book tonight, even though not blaming him for the stoppage, you DON'T HIT AFTER THE BELL.

This is why I thought Tyson fury would have been able to cause AJ big issues.

Hats off to Takam man he took his lumps like a man. AJ has to lose some muscle man this is not his ideal fighting weight, he looked scared to over throw.

agree with most, takam has been in training for months not 12 days. AJ seemed to perform considerin he broke his nose and lack of prep for takam. Agree with everything else

I expected Takam to last to the middle to late rounds but he did do a little better than I expected. He's always been a world class operator people expecting the quick blow out have fallen hook line and sinker for the Joshua hype.

Takam won the early rounds vs Povetkin, he gave Parker a very tough fight, he isn't the type of guy that get totally outclassed even at top level.

He showed he has decent defence he isn't the face first brawler some painted him to be. He's a counter puncher, he picks his spots. He just lacks the power and size to be a true threat.

Yes, although to me it just looked like he got overexcited instead of real malice.

Let be honest Takam has a great chin and big heart but he got the **** punched out of him...

Not sure why anyone is surprised he did so well, he went to war with Parker and Povetkin...

Only a casual would have thought AJ was going to blast him out on a round or two...

Yes, as I said elsewhere in another thread Takam had been in camp. But still, it's not quite the same as preparing 100% for Joshua for 8-9 weeks.

AJ did deal well with the broken nose indeed, but although he is still the best HW today it did show that he is not the finished product yet.
