Although I think his height (or lack of) and style could prove awkward for Tyson, in theory, I just dont think Braxton can take the speed and power.

Holyfield KO'd him clean in 4 rounds in their rematch, with speed and power. Tyson would probably do it quicker.

Qawi had actually challenged Tyson and was reported to be keen to fight him.

At his peak, Dwight was great, a really class act. Make no mistake. Only thing is that a peak Mike Tyson was something else. Difficult to describe.

Add to that a handicap of about 25 popunds of solid muscle and maybe 4" in height.

Just too much of a handicap for good ol' Qawi to overcome. Mike Tyson wins. How? Let' just say that this fight wouldn't have gone beyond 6-7 rounds.

By the way, I am a great fan of DMQ.

Tyson = Bigger (much), stronger, FASTER, hit harder. This is a mismatch.

Tyson's size and strength alone is enough to get the victory.

However, I think what the poster is getting at is that Mr. Qawi's skill could shred Tyson to ribbons if he had the size. The man had incredible technical ability for his own style. I've always been impressed with that. Holyfield/Qawi I all time great fight.

I am a huge Braxton/Qawi guy, the guy was fierce and his seek and destroy style was great!! But come on Tyson would hurt him and hurt him bad!! Qawi had a 71 inch reach which is on par with Mike and he would bang with Mike so it would be fireworks for as long as it lasted. Qawi had a good chin, but he has never faced a puncher like Tyson. My guess would be they meet in ring center and bang Qawi would be lucky to make it a round with Prime Tyson..

Why I would give Braxton a good shot is because he was such a good inside fighter, very busy, good power, although he would have to avoid Mikes good uppercuts. But he also was very good defense wise, and would stick to tyson like glue, and be nonstop busy, wich Mike has never seen.

I hear what your saying but what happens when Mike lands his best shots? Do you think Qawi takes them and bangs on?

Qawi vs. any 175lber or Cruiserweight in history is a good matchup but I don't think his style makes for giving the great Heavyweights a decent fight.

Even that's false, so there's no chance in hell the real world Braxton stands a chance.

Qawi had good punch resistance, he took George Foreman's bombs, and actaully laughed at afew of them.

would be interesting. tyson had problems with shorter guys with head movement from memory. a simple bob and weave by Buster Mathis and similar thing by Norris. i think qawi would cause some problems...but qawi's advantages in strength work rate and angles is on par or dwarfed by tyson.

tyson gets underrated for being such a bait name in comparison to the greats but here i think he can steam roll over him. later rounds or a ud
