Im really looking forward to this fight, because even though the pace may not be incredible, both fighters should land quite a bit. Froch has the height advantage, and it would seem the strength advantage, however Glen has fought at the higher weight for a long period of time. I really think Glen has a good shot and im pulling for the upset. Thoughts?

If Froch fights with the same discipline as against AA then he wins easily on points

I think glen has a good shot at the upset as well, his style will make it difficult for froch. But in the end froch wins ud.

Care to explain why? Johnson and AA are completely different fighters. Johnson is not tentative.

Froch keeps him at bay with his hard long jab and stright right. It's the power that will keep Glen from moving too close. Glen doesn't have the footspeed to make it an inside fight. I think it will be a wide UD or late KO for Froch.

Johson will beat Froch because Johnson beat quality fightes like; Merqui Sosa, Joseph Kiwanuka, Syd Vanderpool, Silvio Branco, Omar Sheika, Derick Harmon, Julio Gonzalez and Tavoris Cloud....................Oh wait, that's right - he lost to all those fighters!

Now I acknowledge that some of thos losses may be of the controversial nature, but if you let a fight with Derrick Harmon or Syd Vanderpool, both strictly B-level fighters, then you are clearly on a similar level to them no? Obviously you have to take these losses with a pinch of salt, because they occured a long time ago, but even as Glen has iron out flaws in his game, he is still much older, has less 'pop' on his punches, and is quitte possibly weight drained. If he lost to these fighters when physically he was closer to his peak, some of these who are clearly lesser fighters than Carl Froch, then when he is less physically able, what makes you people think he will do better against Carl Froch?

Johnson has been beaten many a time by lesser fighters than Carl Froch. Froch seems to be improving with each fight. Froch UD.

Froch will outpoint him with beïng busy at close range and scoring from the outside. I expect a 4 to 5 round difference UD

Im wondering if Froch will choose to box more from now on. He saw what he can do when boxing. I hope for his sake he does because trading with Johnson is only gonna make the fight look bad for him. I think Johnson will be a very tough test for him.

Froch if he boxes can win something like 8-4.
If he brawls it could be a close win to either fighter.

You will not beat Glenn Johnson with just a jab and right hand. You need to have exceptional foot and hand speed. I think Johnson will beat the brakes off Froch for a UD.

not saying dawson is great because hes not due to his heart and unwillingless to get busy

but if dawson couldnt keep glenn off him i dont think froch can
but then again that was along time ago and glenn is getting older but still kicking ass

I'm actually thinking of this as a real hard fight for Froch. Maybe it's just me?

Glen isn't the type to be bullied. He bullies the bully. He has excellent head movement at times and I don't see him having too much trouble getting inside and then working the body.

I honestly see him pouring the pressure. Someone enlighten me on why I might be wrong? Because I only think this is potentially another loss for Froch.

Froch wins this fight for me, however, depending on how he fights depends on how easy it is for him.

If he elects to brawl then it will be a long, hard, entertainig fight with Froch just edging the ageing Road Warrior.

If Froch elects to use his jab and what boxing skills he does have then he should win by a 3-5 point margin. Johnson will give him trouble as Froch is not nearly quick or skilled enough to dominate Johnson but if he uses his jab to disrupt Johnsons rythm, peppers him from the outside with shots from arkward angles like he can do and then tough it out on the inside when Johnon gets in close he should win a closish but uncontrevrsial decision.

Froch doesn't really belong in the same ring as Johnson. I'm glad this fight is happening to finally put Froch in perspective. Johnson is going to beat him like a stepchild , it won't even be competitive.
By the way, Ward against Abraham will be the same kind of one sided bloodletting that Johnson-Froch will be.
