break it down: Lucian Bute vs Kelly Pavlik @ 168lbs

I'll reserve judgement until after April 17th.

 

I like KP..I believe Bute is WAY OVERRATED...kp knocks him out late..even a past prime KP would beat Lucian

 

I think Pavlik would always have problems with slick fighters when he can't have a physical advantage over them. Bute would normally bring too much movement in the ring for Pavlik to deal with, being a southpaw on top of that.

Pavlik is very good at what he does, but he's very predictable with it also. I see Pav struggling with the constant angles Bute will show him...

It would be a good fight but a wide UD for Bute after 12 rounds as far as I'm concerned.

Jermain Taylor had him on ***** street and was too stupid to close the show. Bute will get the job done. He's too fast and too slick for Pavlik and he packs a much better punch than JT.

 

Bute hasnt fought anyone. even pavlik at 168 could take Bute in my opinion

You knew what the poll results would be before you started the thread. That's the only reason you started it. Your agenda is pretty easy to see.

 

I like both guys but Pavlik doesn't look as good when goes above 160. Bute is faster gives more angles and is the bigger/stronger guy at 168, honestly it seems Bute has just about every advantage over Pavlik. Bad matchup for Kelly but it will definitely be fun while it lasts.

 

If Bute gets past Pavlik's 'left overs' the fight may happen. Then the poll won't mean ****. ESB has missed pretty wide on many occasions. How long ago was Dirrell/Abraham anyhow?

 

Pavlik came into camp at a SOLID 185 with more snap to his punches than ever. That is from insiders, not press releases. Bute will NOT be bigger or stronger if they meet. You can bank on that one.

 

Bute will out box Pavlik.

 

lol @ bute. he has lost to andrade, beat him once and beaten the great William Joppy. lol Pavlik has beaten alot of the opponent he has faced. He isnt in pavliks leage. nor is he in Ward's league
