All the best to him then...However, I think Cotto is one of those fighters that will not change his style no matter who is training him.

Which sucks because he eats uppercuts like skittles. Cotto is one of the most complete guys in the game offensively. He just need a couple of tweaks defensively which isnt that bad either but still needs some work. A world class trainer would have been good for this fight but if he feels comfortable with the nutritionist then hey good luck. I hope he gets the win in the end.

Yea I also wished he would have hired a world class trainer but even if he did, I don't think Cotto would change his fighting style. (Bad example here but) Ricky Hatton with Mayweather Sr....Same old Ricky.

yeah i know what you mean. Cotto looks like the type of guy that hates change or something different but i know with some new trainer he wouldnt be as stubborn as Hatton following a gameplan. Hatton was just a disaster.

Cotto will give Pacquiao problems early on by boxing clever but Pacquiao OWNS the second half of the fight and either wins a UD or stops Cotto. I think he'll stop him.

Hard one to call. I still think that Cotto is a great fighter but the Margo fight really took a lot from him. I wasn't impressed by his performance in the Clottey fight. He made some basic defensive errors and at times appeared somewhat sluggish. The heart and composure he showed was impressive I'll admit.

Manny has blitzed his last few fights and has looked amazing. However the last truly live body he was up against(Marquez) took him life n death. I assume that Roach will have an immaculate plan to use against Cotto and Manny is excellant at following a gameplan. Problem for Manny is if he gets pushed into a corner and has a powerful welterweight beating him to the body he will go down. I'm edging very slightly towards Pac. I think he'll be just too quick for Cotto. If he eats a big shot though who knows...

If Pacman can't hurt Cotto,:think Roach will stop the fight in later rounds!:yep
Cotto will come in between 155 & 160 lbs. fightnight.:deal That's not good
for Pac.:nono Cotto's chin is very underrated (for those who think Cotto has a glass chin, leave the drugs alone) :yikes This fight will end by Tko, not
by brutal Ko. The fighter i think will touch canvas first is Pacman due to his jumping in & out type style. Cotto has an excellent jab with timing and Pacman seems to be off balance while in attack mode often. So i predict
Manny will get droped first, but not hurt.:bbb If Manny can hurt Cotto which remains to be seen, he will make Miguel quit:deal Again the big question is, can Pacman hurt Cotto?:think My fight prediction is simple,
Cotto has good boxing skills and has fought the stronger opposition.
I can't see Manny hurting him. Cotto will take Manny best shot while stalking & breaking him down with bodyshots. Roach will not let Pacman go out on his back and stop the fight. :hi: Round Eleven Stoppage:good
Most importantly, us the fans will win big!:thumbsup

Same thing here.. Pac could stop cotto in the later rounds through his speed and superb body movements, but one mistake could end up kissing cotto's power lefts that could weaken pac's storm. This fight will test pac's punch resistance and cotto's heart..

If you take a good look at Cotto's last fights, you realize what he's most vulnerable with are uppercuts. Whether they come in slower or faster, he just can't seem to stop them or better yet avoid them.... On the inside Pacman will definitely want to throw combos with at least 1 uppercut everytime !

Let's see what Roach may bring in the table.. Maybe he will be focusing on Manny's uppercut this time, just like pac-diaz (right body, right uppercut)

Here is my analisys and I'll start by saying that I could be wrong but here are my points on my prediction.

The truth is that PAC is definately a little more skilled than Miguel when you compare, stamina, power, movement and speed... However, not necesarily by a lot. I mean Miguel is also very well schooled in those departments as well plus he is the naturally bigger guy.

A lot of fans think that perhaps Miguel is not the same after Margo and what they saw in the Clottey fight but please don't blind yourself by being a fan. Margo and Clottey bring a total different approach in their fight than what Pac can bring. I honestly don't think that Pac has the chin, stamina, defense and ofense to do the kind of fight that Margo and Clottey were able to do. Therefore, change that thought my friend... that kind of fight is not going to happen as Cotto is the naturally bigger man and PAC likes to fight in a flashy in and out tempo.

If Cotto showed us something in his last fight is that he has HEART, STAMINA (at least it was improved) and definately has ring intelligence to go with everything. Cotto's accurancy, precision and speed is excellent for the type of fight that PAC normally presents. He can definately confuse PAC by switching stances and will not come forward as what normally Mexican fighters and Hatton likes to do. Puerto Rico style of boxing is a total different style that perhaps PAC hasn't seen or at least in a loooong time.

However, Cotto also needs to change his trainner... He needs someone who is experienced and that improves his stamina even better.

    Keys to win:

Pac needs to hurt Cotto within the first 3 rounds... If Cotto finds out that he can deal with Manny's power he will start presuring Manny and go to the boddy from early on and that could be the beggining of the end. Manny will have a better chance to stop Cotto during the last rounds as Cotto normally gets tired... However, if Cotto goes to the body early on the fight, Pac may not have the same stamina in the last rounds either.

On the other hand, Cotto needs to use his foot work and jab to make Pac fight on the back foot... Cotto needs to control the space between them by actually get closer to PAC and not leave him space to come forward with his left punch.

If Cotto gets good stamina and has a different trainer that can actually strategize a plan A, B and C he wins in my book by making PAC fight on the back foot and make him look ordinary with lateral movements and body punches. From a stylish perspective, this fight is a better fight for Cotto than the Margo and Clottey fight as he can actually hurt Manny bad.

If PAC shows Cotto that he can hurt him and make Cotto fight on the back foot from early on PAC wins.
