I heard the offer was 6 million that's not really much of a low ball if he fights him at 175 that is. if it was 6 I think they could negotiate a couple more million and make it happen.

 

Do you know what Kovalev's biggest purse has been? I know he took 2 mil to fight Ward. 6 mil vs a much smaller fighter who would increase his popularity if he won is very good.

If he was offered 6 mil its very strange he would refuse.

 

Promoter probably thinks she can get more. Kovalev isn't worth as much as most people here think. he has 3 losses and people will argue all 3 were BS. But, it still hurts him. 6 million is more than he'd make for both yarde and Beterbiev combined. I'd just go for more in one fight especially if it's at 175.

 

and this isnt like the ward fight, the world will actually be watching this one. you got all the advantages, plus the biggest purse you will ever make otherwise. win the fight you should win, and the world will know your name and pay to see you again.

well duva just had an interview and you can read it on boxrec. she just wants more money and it can be made. give kovalev 8 million. I think they'd take it.

 

First of all, I doubt it was 6. More like 5 or even less. Second, there are complications: step aside money needs to be paid to Yarde (and they would ask for a lot), this fight is copromoted (Duva+Arum) so each of those wants to earn as well.
