Anyone who thought DAZN were not major players in this business surely now do. They are not playing and this is just the start.

Eddie is leading the charge for boxing content on DAZN?

Oh, well, if Eddie didn't broker the deal, then Eddie didn't broker the deal.

So will Canelo's free fights be on DAZN and PPV fights be on some other platform?

    lmao

Do you guys even understand what Eddie Hearn has to do with DAZN?

Eddie didn't sign Clenelo for a multi fight deal.

    DAZN signed him.

And DAZN signed Eddie / Matchroom.

Eddie is no employer of DAZN lol.

Eddie has nothing to do with DAZN apart from the fact that DAZN is showing his events / cards.

All of his fights going forward, I believe. Just like Anthony Joshua. It doesn't make sense that DAZN would charge $9.95 and then ask for PPV money for specific fights.

No. Depending on how many fights his signed up to they will all be on DAZN. A PPV would only happen when his DAZN deal is over.

Interesting. So Canelo opponents can forget about demanding tens of millions as long as he's on DAZN...?

In terms of co-promotion, absolutely Hearn is completely out of it.

But he still has the responsibility of finding fighters to put on DAZN, so he definitely was involved in the deal.

What I mean to say is if Hearn wasn't involved in the process he was kept in the loop about how things were going by DAZN then. As he was never ignorant of how things were going when asked in his interviews, but I'm sure that burned his ass to no end lol. This is a huge get for DAZN, but all the haters are gonna turn this into Hearn not being involved. Who gives a **** if Hearn is shut out here, this is massive for DAZN and it will surely make their sub numbers skyrocket! Which is good for me because I love the service and don't want to see it fail.

this thread is going to be an amazing read, the Hearn haters having irrational meltdowns.

Exactly. Hearn or not it doesn't matter. It's about DAZN and more subscribers to DAZN is only good for matchroom USA.

I don't think Eddie Hearn is pissed because Canelo will be fighting on DAZN under golden boy promotions.

Possibly so, although DAZN will no doubt have to overpay Canelo opponents. What I like is that it increases the chances of Jacobs/Derevyanchenko/Andrade vs Canelo in the near future, which is what we all want to see.
