BREAKING — DAZN Signs Multi-Fight Deal w/ CANELO (!!!)

My DAZN trial is over but I'm definitely keeping it.

 

Great signing by DAZN. With Canelo and WBSS, DAZN has signed better fighters than Eddie. Could see DAZN sacking Eddie and making a deal with Oscar for more of his stable.

 

Does Eddie Hearn own DAZN?

 

The pot of money paying for it comes from the joint venture between Perform Group and Matchroom. Saying Hearn wasn't involved in the deal is disingenuous at best. Matchroom obviously won't be involved in the promotion of the events, they will be Goldenboy events, but the platform - DAZN US - is.

Ultimately, I don't see why anyone cares. This is great for boxing in the US. Finally the ridiculous PPV era is over.

No but DAZN did a major boxing deal with matchroom and that really upset some people for some bizarre reason. They just want Hearn to fail so if they means DAZN fails so be it.

 

Eddie not tweeted anything about this he would be all over social media like a rash usually with a signing like this, maybe some sour grapes?

DAZN is not sacking Hearn and they've just made a deal with GBP.

GBP fighters needed a new home after HBO mailed it in, this is their new home, Canelo's cards will be loaded with Mexicans.

This is and was all about DAZN and them pulling in big numbers.

DAZN are paying the bills, not Hearn, Hearn just put his reputation on the line as a promoter. DAZN basically went to Hearn to get him to sign fighters for their platform.

This is a fantastic signing for DAZN, people will subscribe on the back of Canelo and that means Hearn's own fighters get more viewers/subscribers.

It means DAZN will thrive, it will just get bigger and bigger and so will some of the fighters on that platform.


Hearn might not have directly signed Canelo and that's completely understandable, why would he be involved in that deal?

But Hearn is still a huge part of this so he will benefit and so will his fighters and DAZN should do very very well from now on and that is what this was all about.


So for all the posters on here who wanted DAZN to fail and for Hearn to fail errr great news isn't it LOL

Naaah, seriously, maybe you can follow FW and subscribe to BT/Boxnation and watch BJS on the comeback trail in a shopping centre somewhere and Yarde fighting a barman on the undercard in front of a crowd of 2,000.

Bellator is also a winner here, now all these Mexican Canelo fans will sign up for DAZN and start watching MMA Bellator cards.

Great for bellator. That's the rub when you start getting more great content. People will start searching and finding other stuff they necessarily wouldn't of looked for before so the platform wins as while rather then just one particular sport.
