“It was Hearn, DAZN. They made it possible”

Most virgin-tier statement I’ve heard on this forum.

Oh I know what you're saying Mr E, the UFC are huge but they could suffer if Khabib leaves, he has a real monster fanbase now and is there only real star.

Of course they will out last Khabib, it's the UFC but it will be a huge blow if he left at this moment in time.

If you read the replies to that BT tweet you’d realise that they aren’t saying they will be broadcasting the fight. Unlike Sky they don’t peddle agendas and cover boxing as a whole. Legit broadcaster.

Yeah but you can't blame people for assuming it would be on BT sport. The tweet makes it look like that.

At first glance yes but then you see that they have put their channel after the ones they are showing. Maybe they did have hopes of buying the rights to the fight and have been pipped but we’ll see.

Overstating Hearns importance to DAZN, he is just a pimple on DAZN's face that will be popped soon.

Nobody wants to see his bum fights lol

This is massive for Hearn and Matchroom as it will surely now show the other top fighters he was trying to sign that DAZN is the place to be.

Expect big names to follow suit.

In my opinion it's an advertising trick, they have stuck "BT Sport Box Office" on the top and bottom one (yeah it's dates, even so) and stuck a big name (Canelo) in th middle so at a quick glance it looks like all those fights are on BT/Boxnation.

Fair play to whoever did the tweet, clever in a way, they understand twitter and social media, people just scroll through on their devices and have a quick glance and I bet many people who saw that tweet thought Canelo Vs Fielding was on BT.

There was and is no need for them to mention Canelo on that tweet and certainly no need to mention Fielding, it isn't big fight, it can't be with Fielding in it.

Anyway, doesn't matter, they can tweet about BJS fighting in a shopping centre soon enough.

I think it's a little something like the deal Arum has with ESPN. If any outside promotion wants to put a fight on at ESPN then Arum will have a little of the action by contract no matter what.
