I don't see how this helps her much. How much publicity will this give her? I don't want to insult her because she seems like a nice person, I just don't understand.

Out of all her fights, can anyone look at her and see a difference was my point or question.

A previous post, I pointed out her KO ratio 29% of 49 wins. Doesn't seem she gained strength. And the majority of her fights were 4 rounders, thus earning the title Queen of the 4 rounders, So I am wondering did it help build stamina for her?
I think she should've kept the roids thing to herself, because I can't figure what she gained from it.

Not fighters in general, my bad.

Just because you're on it isn't going to make you Superman. The work still has to be put in both physically as well as working on your skillset, the craft which is boxing.
Mia St. John was a less than average female fighter, PED's don't turn that type of fighter into something special.

In other words, as it relates to how it impacted Mia, we then both agree!:aaaaa:

One of the biggest advantages of PEDs is the abnormally fast recovery, a significant increase in endurance and one can get stronger at a faster pace than others.. so it’s no shock that they were first to show up and last to leave..

One of my training buddies in my group at Golds gym ended up linking with a guy who illegally sold hgh and we had to stop working out with the guy because he was lapping us all.. We normally would do 2 hrs in the morning and a hour in the evening after work 4 days a week and made progress at the same pace.. within a month he started going more, didn’t really need rest days and starting working out with a 100 lbs more with more reps in certain workouts.. Hearing about it is one thing but seeing it being done is just mind blowing that there isn’t stiffer penalties in physical sports

Well, no. She likely did improve. She said that herself. PEDs enhance your performance when used correctly. I actually still don't understand what you're trying to ask which I didn't respond immediately after reading your reply. I can't even tell if you're being facetious about this lol.

Women in general have lower KOs ratios to men, the same as the KO ratio in smaller weight classes is relatively low. That's just the way the human body works. So you can't look at a low KO ratio as evidence for anything.

The 4 two-minute rounds is just how the matches are for women, but even doing that is expending energy so taking performance enhancing drugs would improve that, depending on what you're taking. We don't know what her norm is nor do we know what she was taking (to my knowledge).

Ad far as the training, which has a direct impact on your performance in the ring, since we don't know what her regimen is we also can't ascertain how much the drugs helped there.

We just don't have enough information to adequately pinpoint what these benefits are, but there HAVE to be some benefits and she is confirming that herself. Also, I think an assumption that you're making here is that she was not competing against other women that were users themselves.

I just cannot see her rationale for now saying what she did re PEDs, her reasons might well be honestly intended to help others, if so then fare play to her.

Is she going to give up her titles/purses she won when on the gear?

I wonder who the media wil go to in the coming months for an opinion or quote if a fighter is alleged to be on PEDs?

The assumption you're making is that her opponents also were not on PEDs.
She only came out and said this to defend Canelo, according to her. Nothing about her statement makes me think she had a reason other than that.

LOL, no I'm not being facetious by definition; This isn't serious for me, just casual.

You say she likely improved, I am simply asking how? I put up a video of her fighting a 2-0 chick as my example.
my last example- let's say a person can weigh 355lbs taking diet pills, slimfast, Jenny Craig still weighing the same, can convince you it benefited them, how? That is how I see Mia St John's admission. What good did it do? It's a question.

And I disagree with your assessment of women her size having lower ko ratios. Lucia Ryjker 17-0 14kos @ SuperLightWeight.
Mia & Christy both retired with 49 wins. 29% ko ratio vs 53%. Holly Holm lost her last boxing match to a Mary McGee who got a 53% KO ratio. She started at Lightweight as well.

So I guess we will agree to disagree. I thought we agreed, there wasn't a single fight we could point out as a difference for her.

But I'm not disagreeing with your assessment of women and 4 rounders I am saying that is incorrect. The majority of championship fights have been 8 or 10 rounders. Laila Ali, Christy Martin, Ann Wolfe Elena Reid, Lucia Ryjker, Jeneantte Robinson, Mary McGee, Vonda Ward, & my cutie pie Elena BabyDoll Reid-all those chicks I've seen fought mostly 8 rounders.

Top Rank setup Mia's 4 round career, thats how they start off, not end up-not a standard for women who fight for titles. Laila fought over 6 rounds at least 1/2 dozen times. Women's FOTY Valerie Mahfood vs Ann Wolfe again 10 rounder. & Mahfood won her first title in the 10th round. ( I know we use to email each other a bit back in the day)

Now I can say I am being a bit uh facetious to your statement of: "I think an assumption that you're making here is that she was not competing against other women that were users themselves"

No sir, I am not making an assumption I am making an analysis based on every fight I've seen of her. I can't find a single fight where I wondered like Roger Mayweather who asked " How did Pac rise up in weight and kept his power?"
    Legit question...
Why did Barry Bonds head get big as hell at the same time he started knocking baseballs out the park, parking lott into the streets!! (facetious):rosstheboss

When Shane took the test for Floyd, IMO I saw a more cautioned fighter pacing himself.

Some people get zits, pimples, some gain strength, stamina, how could she alone see the benefits 20 times? No need to answer it, as we can agree to disagree?:beer-toast1:

...She took PEDs. The drugs enhance your performance. Are you seriously comparing Slim Fast to chemical specifically designed to improve your athletic performance? I STILL don't know what you're trying to say. Are you trying to argue that...PEDs...don't work? On her?

There are going to be outliers in every single instance. Women in general have lower KO ratios.
A lot of women end up fighting in 4 rounders. Also not all of her fights were 4 rounders so...I don't understand your point there either.

    What we even doing?

I said it several times I asked if you or anyone could detect a difference, each post you made validated it.
    No difference.

She was doing it wrong, lol. You don't sporadically use steroids unless you are kind of clueless to put it mildly.

That said, wtf are you on about trying to diminish the BS surrounding her and her admitted doping?

I asked a question to which it seems is now BS?

So if she said she benefited from it, I should be believe it? That was stated here.
I was told most chicks fight 4 rounders, I asked for examples because I gave mines (several names)
I was told most of them don't have high KO ratios, I countered naming those who do have great KO ratios. (several names)

That is what I'm on, answers to questions, that is all.

I didn't write that your question is BS. English mfker. I wrote wtf are you trying to diminish the BS SURROUNDING HER AND HER ADMISSION. What dumbass question though is this about how you think she did or did not gain an edge? Like wtf man?
