According to Eddie Hearn, the money difference between what Saudi offered and what could have been generated in the UK or the USA was not that great. The upside was that it opened a new market for boxing on the world stage.

In the future big stadiums will be built and gate prices will be 4 figures. Arab companies will be fighting for prime advertising space on TV as bigger events are proposed and they'll want maximum exposure and will pay over the odds for it. Think Superbowl but in the Middle East.

This is a long game and Hearn is a small pawn in it; unless he gets exclusivity rights for Matchroom/Sky/DAZN to be the only boxing promotor out there.

 

I'm expecting the belts to change hands again, but you never know.

And hope he stays near to what he was in the first fight. Call me cynical. but a win over a lighter version tarnishes the victory in my opinion. The bodybuilder struggled with that enormous weight advantage. He doesn't get the credit for the win if Ruiz comes in below 260.
