If BJS walks away over a ring difference of 2ft then he truly is a moron.

Come on, why put in all that work and then run away at the last minute

The dad isnt playing and he isnt acting, this is for real

I wonder who the stand in will be?

He admits the ring size definition WAS NOT in the contract.
He admits it was going to be a negotiation point AFTER the contract was signed by everyone.
He admits Canelo's team proposed an 18' ring.
He admits Saunders proposed a 24' ring.
He admits Canelo's team countered with an offer for a 20' ring.
    Now he cancels the fight.

Why doesn't he admit Saunders has chickened out of the biggest payday in his career? The counter by Canelo was, IMO,
a fair offer. A 20' ring is, or should be, fine. Saunders isn't a B side, he's a C side. He's getting respect from Canelo who
backed off the 18' ring size.

    SMDH.

Listen to the video; he admits the ring size was NOT in the contract.
Glove, ring size, judges, ref are all post contract issues, or I should say COULD be post contract issue; I suppose the
could be included in a contract.

On his tombstone it'll say the most interesting thing about BJS' career was the fights he signed for but for whatever reason never fought. :ohno

I listened to the video...it still sounds like something that should be agreed beforehand so people don't start pulling this **** the week of the fight

What a bunch of ****ing amateurs on BOTH SIDES. With no law degree, or ever having promoted a fight before, you can be damn sure that'd I'd have the things like this sorted out and agreed upon prior to my fighter signing the contract.

Hell, when I drafted the lease agreement for my tenant, I included everything. I even put in that if I ever had to deliver the key to him because he's locked out, I'd charge him $75.00 for my time and travel.

20 feet is standard, but for a mover you can get trapped easily and hurt, especially against Canelo. Billy and his Dad are very worried about what Canelo would do to him in a 20 foot ring. They feel like they would be walking into a trap. Harder for Canelo to cut off the ring and trap Billy in a 22 foot ring, that's a lot of extra space for Billy to manuever. In this case, ring size will play a factor. A bigger ring benefits Billy, a smaller ring benefits Canelo. Both sides are fighting for what they view as fair and refuse to budge. Canelo can't agree to higher than the standard 20 feet. Billy or his Dad won't agree to lower than 22 feet. At this point, there's only one solution that both sides can feel good about : 21 feet.

If it wasn’t put into writing in the contract, BJS has no argument here. If he wanted the bigger ring that bad, he should have made sure it was contractually agreed upon before signing. He will be sued for every penny he has if he backs out now.

Well, I do not respect Saunders because he even had agreed to fight vs Canelo in U.S.
If he had real self respect, he agreed to fight vs Canelo only in U.K and with tested in U.K Canelo.

Yes, usually ring size is determined in fights contracts.

I also expect that if Canelo will get stopped ( less than 1% chances ) there might be appear a lot of nice clauses from Canelo side to be in contract. Like for Whyte vs old over the hill Povetkin for fight sold as eliminator fight. Unlike in any level title fights where rematch clauses are usual thing;):), in real eliminator :nonono rematches happens if the fight is judged as No Contest or a Draw. Only.:nonono For eddie appears this is different eddie world.

Nope, I had more respect for any boxer if they had refused Clenelo horsemeat paychecks and had fights for lesser money and not in U.S vs horsemeat tickets seller in his laughable backyard. Clenelo also cherry picks with a glance, best cherry picking example is to cherry pick Khan who even at welterweight did not had been any kind of real KO artist to blow up and fight with Clenelo.

If they prefer pay checks over real pride, then this is another question.
Cos they not likely are really poor, majority of them does have more on accounts than average experienced engineer in the same U.S or U.K.

There is damn big difference why I value even Olympic wrestling as more real sport than pro boxing.

So the strategy was just to run for his life for an hour in a 24-foot ring and survive? (LOL)

If it doesn't happen, we didn't miss anything. People want to see fights.
