no, this is clearly all saunders team. negotiating terms over the web. terms that should have been addressed months ago. and playing the victim when your trailer park negotiating skills came up short when lawyers hashed out the details, is pretty lame.

 

Why should Canelo concede a thing to this guy? All the money is generated by one side and the other guy hasn’t even bothered to do any promoting. Come take your check you can’t get anywhere else and go home.

 

All material terms need to be negotiated and entered into the contract. This wasn't some unknowable piece of information at the time they signed the deal; Saunders had every opportunity to stipulate ring size. He apparently did not do so, and as such they are running a risk of breach if they call off the fight.

 

I agree, it is lame as hell lol. But they're taking this stance and are drawing a line in the sand. To make the fight I think you have to compromise. But don't give them everything they want. Meet in the middle, that's how compromises work. At this stage an agreement on ring size needs to be made ASAP. Because a ring, especially of a different size than planned, will take days to construct.

 

Yes it’s true. 20 is very standard. Floyd got 24 agaisnt Canelo and many other fights because, guess what, he’s FLOYD and generates all the dollars. That’s how this works.

 

He shouldn't have to, but if you don't come to terms with the other side, you risk losing the event.

 

i get it. it makes more sense to just give billy that bone. it wont change whats gonna eventually happen in the ring. but make no mistake, canelo can just say "**** him, he dont like it, he can take hi 8 fans and suck a dick", and he would lose nothing, while saunders loses everything. everything.

 

I don't think Floyd vs Canelo was 24 feet. It looked pretty standard. Maybe 22, but not 24. It might have even been 20 foot, it's hard to tell. Mayweather Maidana ring size looked bigger than Mayweather Canelo.

 

Very true, but I'm saying give Billy ONLY A Bone, not the TWO Bones that he wants. It could change what's gonna happen. 22 feet allows Billy to slip away from being trapped, could turn a potential KO or KD scenario into a decision.

 

This stuff obviously was already written into a signed contract a while ago. This is just postpuring by Team Saunders to curb public perception when he loses by claiming they made us fight in a “small ring” when it’s really not even “small”. If you didn’t like it you didn’t have to sign it. Oh wait you wanted the money.

 

Maybe, maybe not. Maybe it's all just an act. I guess we'll find out soon enough. But if Billy and his Dad walks away and pull out, they'll never hear the end of it.
