I think Wilder is allowed a tune up or two, however time is running out for him. Wilder - Parker would actually be a fight I'd pay to watch but I think he wants to have another crack at that title, and Parker is too high risk and low reward for him. I'm glad he's back but I can only hope his fan won't be as toxic as they were before.
Never really doubted he'd return. He likes the attention too much and with his lavish lifestyle he needs to keep making money. Will be interesting to see who they match him with. While he probably should have an easy warm up first, he's at the stage of his career where it isn't really needed and he doesn't have the time to waste half a year on fighting some scrub. Maybe they'll put him up against Martin. Both ex champions, both Haymon fighters and even though Martin lost he looked good against Ortiz. I assume he'll eventually face the winner of Ruiz/Ortiz if they actually do fight. Maybe he targets Dubois after he beats Bryan that's a doable fight.
Yeah let's all welcome back the WBC/PBC protected manufactured cherrrypicking fraud. Bad for boxing. Unless he's fighting top 5 opposition gtfoh
Based on what? Usyk's never been dropped. Fury has. By light punching cruiserweights no less. Usyk has a demonstrably better chin than Fury, and he's not a sloppy mess that takes stupid risks when he fights. So no, zero chance Wilder a) connects and b) flattens him if he does.
Yes, he should pick an easy tune up against a no name guy before stepping in with the big dogs. This Mamkhudov guy definitely fits the bill. Slow, sloppy, no punch worth talking about...
I know for sure it won't be anyone taller or heavier than him, because according to his last fight with Fury that is now another method of cheating.
