    I think the kid has grit. He's never once faltered or lost his cool. Though the right punch will make all of that irrelevant, so he'd better watch it, but I'm confident Robert has spotted it and worked something for it, it's Salido's most obvious and potent weapon. But of course it's always different when you're actually in there.

    Can't say I think Salido got old overnight, but the first two left hooks definitely set the tempo for the rest of the fight. Like I said in my other thread, the sparring session with Rios showed me a lot more than I'd ever seen out of an actual Garcia fight. Tonight he proved it translates into the ring. That left hook was ace; whenever you come right at Salido, he walks backwards instead of backstepping with his back foot first, which is something I caught in the Haya fight. Robert did his homework. That left hook was key both as a lead and a counter. Got the pick wrong but at least I got the plan right. A star is born, there are some exciting fights for Mikey in the future.
