    See this is your problem, you refuse to look at the big picture. It is not reasonable to call Holy one of Byrds 3 best wins when he never had a top 10 win after that and was 2-2-2 on his last 6 fights. Should I use Ali for Holmes as well? :lol:

    Exposed as what, not willing to call a fighter 2-2-2 in his last 6 fights and without a top 10 win the rest of his career one of Byrd's 3 best wins? Ok Aquamoron you got me....you've really exposed me now!! :rofl

    For Vitali or Vlad to fight Toney and Jones would be a total mismatch. I would not want to see such a fight, actually, there would really be no fight, just a quick knock out!!!!!!!

    How they were supposed to be made is irrelevant. That they never got made is a direct factor on the era. Can you honestly say the era wouldn't have been better if Vittles fought some of these guys the era wouldn't have been improved? Instead we get the Charts, Solis' and assorted other tomato cans instead of true top 10 fighters.

    I don't need to belittle vits legacy, he did a fine job of that himself in the latter part of his career fighting bums and tomato cans with few or no top ten wins while defending his paper title.

    It is completely irrelevant if he (or any champion) "missed" to fight any guy. What matters is that he didn't avoid his challengers and defeated the best that are put in front of him. His biggest achievement in my opinion is coming back after 4 years of pause and straight defeating champion in his comeback fight in an impressive fashion, remaining the champion during the next 5 years until his retirement. During that time, he also had some notable wins over 2-division world champion Adamek, Olympic gold medalist Solis and undefeated Arreola. That's more than enough. He left his mark in boxing.
