The only people that think this division is actually good are Klitshcko fan boys so they can try and convince themselves that is beating good competition and can be considered a top ATG HW

Speaking of Carnera......Primo Carnera, one of histories most ridiculed heavyweights, fought MORE top 10 contenders than either Wlad or Vits. He's fought 12 to wlads 10 and Vits 6. They were Stribling 2x, Godfrey, Sharkey, Levinski 2x, Gains, Poreda, Loughran, Baer, Louis and Haynes.

Considering you know dick about history its not surprising you would say this. He did however fight 6 hall of fame fighters...Louis, Sharkey, Loughran, Stribling, Baer and Godfrey. How many combined have your heroes fought? Oh that's right, only 1.

Primo knocked out more HWs than any other HW in the history of the sport.

Wlad won his major belt against a middle weight and the biggest fight of his career is against a Cruiser.

In the first sentence it states the only various sources used were for fighters before Ring was published. From 1924 on, only year end Ring ratings were used. Comparing Holmes to Wlad in this context is apples to apples.

By that measure, Wlad's record is 22-2 (17) against fighters who'd achieved top 10 ratings in their careers. Ali and Louis are far ahead of the pack for # of wins against fighters who'd achieved a top 10 ranking.

Wlad, Holmes, and Lewis (right behind with 21) round out the top 5 for the modern heavyweights. Evander would make the top 5 if his cruiserweight career were taken into account (which I'd argue it should be considering smaller men than what he faced at Cruiserweight are counted for the other champs).

In the postmodern heavyweight era, which I rate as having started when the Cruiserweight division was created, the top 5 would include Holyfield and Tyson to fill in for Ali and Louis.

Ok, my bad I misread and made a mistake. I've also figured out where our misunderstanding is stemming from. The bold takes into consideration top 10 fighters fought in a career, they didn't have to actially be top 10 fighters at the time of said fight. My system only considers fighters fought at the time they were top 10. I think that is a much more credible way to evaluate an era, but of course that is just my opinion.

Their weights were closer than Wlad and Hits vs Byrd. And Hits lost his fight. Louis won if I remember correctly.

Vitali was beaten and made look like a walking statue by a middle weight and he refused to fight Cruiser Haye.

Byrd came out of that fight without a bruise or a scratch. He made a fool out of him and forced him to quit and Chris Turd was ****.

That grouping was done by dominant Champion, and I still clearly counted eras without one as vacant.

I think you need to determine what defines eras before you start to contrast them.

As is you are simply comparing the resumes of Holmes, Tyson, Wlad, Vitali, and Louis by the rating of their opponents after they fought them. This doesn't tell us anything about an era.
