Actually my post wasn't so much in response to this thread, but others. And honestly, most of the bull**** comes from people who I should expect it from.

So I should have made that clear. Other than that... **** you:smoke

I don't think Malinaggi has ever been in a good fight.

Well, except not if you count the beatdowns from Hatton and Cotto.

But seriously, why is Berto fighting another light welterweight??
    Can't Berto fight legit welterweights?!

Williams/Cintron??? I expected something like this. Williams and his team talked a ton of smack about Pavlik. Now Pavlik is ready to roll, but "the most feared fghter in boxing" took an easier fight for less money.

Collazo is still waiting for his rematch with him, theres also Carlos Quintana, those too are MUCH better than Malignaggi.

So you just posted this for the sake of posting it?

You should've just waited for Boo or Hermit to post and THEN done your shtick.

I'm beginning to sense a level of delusional-ness from both fanbases.

I think you guys need a boxing time out.

It's insanely irrelevant. Instead of saying "Wow Cintron vs Williams should be a good fight", you're talking about Pavlik again. It's insane. It's as insane as NBAiken's little "Oh my god people still doubt Williams" monologue that went nowhere.

Paul Williams walked away from a Pavlik fight in 08 due to money. Pavlik walked away from Williams in 09 for injuries or god knows what.

The two guys will never fight. Just get over it and move on with the rest of your lives.

This would have been a fair point if he actually fought a Mosley level fighter.

He might aswell fight a lower level welter cuz he's gonna get **** for fighting Malignaggi aswell.

Malignaggi is on a level above Judah and Alfonso Gomez.

Hlatshwayo is coming off a TKO round 3 loss to a guy who's name I can't even spell.

Collazo is a perfect choice IMO but I remember his rematch went belly up because he wanted more money than HBO was willing to put up. I'm hoping we get that fight.

As for Quintana, He's fighting at 154 these days. He's also insanely inactive and has pulled out of more fights than Vitali Klitschko.

haha pathetic really... that you still defend this ...

Williams is Moving DOWN in weight to fight the guy who just lost to Martinez the fight before his .. Who has Cintron beat to be considered high level btw?

Williams had two fights out there that he had to make --- Pavlik and Martinez rematch .... he failed , yet you still will hate Pavlik, as expected

This move by Williams looks especially bad when you consider the fact that HBO's first choice was Pavlik/Williams, and their second choice was Williams/Martinez.

There is nothing inherently wrong with Team Williams re-evaluating Paul's career and potential. However, it would be nice if Team Williams and their fans would be honest about what is going on.
