 i know, right? i've always like the idea of kelly and librado getting it on. if bute/smw is the endgame then this would be a helluva way to start getting there.

Does anyone know what's Pavlik's minimum required purse ? The scene seems to report that his price tag's too high to make such a great card.

Don't know the number, but he has fought for less than his Top Rank contract calls for a couple times already.

Maybe they could give Pavlik some percentage of the PPV sales in Canada to sort it out...cause it's on PPV in Canada most likely anyways.

his belt is meaningless.....most consider him the best 168 pounder....why waste a fight on brinkley at this point in your career? its a backwards ****ing step

Brinkley's a fighter that loves to firefight can he can throw, trade, and take some..... umm, this'll just feed into Bute's offense badly..

Bute will TKO Brinkley mid rounds..... possibly flash knockdowns early rounds by Bute

This will be awesome. I can't wait to hear Teddy implore Brinkley to move his hands more when he gets to the inside, for round after round after round. I'm guessing Bute "controls distance" better than Brinkley on fight night but it will be fun while it lasts.

Who is most? He better hold onto that belt a little longer.

Depending of which sanctionning body, it's around 1 mandatory a year. The 2 Andrade fights and now Brinkley are the mandatories Bute has faced. He has his title since october 2007. Exactly 1 mandatory a year.

BTW, you always complain of the opposition Bute faces, but who do you want him to fight?

Teddy will say something about "He needs to move his hands; I can't say it enough. When you're buying yoghurt, you can't jump in and expect everything to fall into place. If you don't get busy when you're in the pocket, all you're going to get is the diet. And it's not even the brand that's on sale! And the winner... is the old lady in the go-cart." Oh, and to put the left hook behind the right just like playing marbles against the curb.

Now -- what will Teddy say about Brinkley letting his right hand wander out of position when he goes jab happy?

    He fought Joppy (a tune-up)

    He fought Andrade (Mandatory)

He fought Zuniga (Showtime wanted the guy)

    He fought Andrade(Mandatory)

He fought Miranda (There weren't any other SMW in the division, there all in that tournament)
