The only reason they got ESPN to broadcast the card is because it's a good exposure for Bute.

 

Max, my point with the 30k figure is... That is what is was going to cost us to put on a fight with no big names. It's the promoter's (Top Rank) responsibility to come with the money, not ESPN's. ESPN will help in bringing the promoter advertising money to help offset the cost, but it falls on the promoter. Top Rank is not going to shell out the money to put Kelly on ESPN when they can do a PPV and collect all the revenue.

 

Do you think ESPN was hoping a show in Youngstown would give them access to our local fight celebrity? Darnell Boone? :think
