Unless he's ****ing mental, he can't even dream of anything approaching a 50/50 split in the cash for this fight. I think the problem with getting this fight signed is that Haye will still see himself as a massive marquee name, and that a fight with him, for Vitali is worth more than fighting anybody else.

Maybe he is right, but I don't think his ego will let him settle for the kind of cash split that K2 is expecting/wanting.

That licence means he cant box in Britain.

 

He has not handed in his license, he just has chosen not to renew it when it runs out (presumably on his birthday). There is absolutely nothing to stop him re-applying now, or at any time in the future.

And as Dave Coldwell has said on twitter, he doesn't need a BBBoC license to box abroad anyway.

 

If Vitali had any common sense he'd tell him to **** off. Boxing doesn't need Haye. Im tired of his premadonna bull****.

 

Great...so now we can be bored to tears hearing Haye talk about how he will KO Vitali, how he is "100% fit and ready to destroy Vitali" and blah blah...some lame insults, talk of redemption etc.

I'll show a little interest the day before they are due to fight. At which point we will see Haye KOd unless he runs all night, hope his toe is okay.

 

I'd agree with this if it was Haye who had announced he was retiring or wanted the fight. So far Haye has stayed silent...the BBBofC announced he was not renewing his licence to box in teh UK and Bonte announced they were in talks.

Lol probably already too late for that, I fear - he was talking about retiring before he even moved up to heavyweight!! Spending a whole career in anticipation of retirement ought to have told us all we needed to know, even at that early stage.

I don't think that doing anything 'gracefully' is really a priority for Haye.
