Is Holy really trying to commit suicide? :think :roll:

 

I just saw this on ESPN's bottom screen. Holyfield is going to get stopped, give him credit for trying though, hope this is on HBO or Showtime.

 

I posted a while back he was on the radio in an interview where he said his people were talking to Chagaev. Guess he got Valuev instead.

 

This is unbelievable.

Holyfield needs the money? Talk about poor money management - the guy must have made in excess of 100 million dollars throughout his career.

As for this fight - what a freakshow. I only hope Valuev lands a KO early to spare Holyfield further punishment.

Wow, I wonder if Valuev is going to have the WBA title or not? I read something about him getting the belt if Chagaev doesnt fight him within a certain amount of time, does anyone else know anything about that?

 

Pathetic?....Unbelievable?......NO WAY!!

Granted, Holyfield does not have the ranking to warrant a title shot. But, he is a legend, and I believe Valuev will be looking for a little credibility and notariety (at least in the USA) by beating him. That said, I think Holyfield has a terrific shot at beating the Russian Giant, who is not as skilled or quick as S. Ibragimov, and Holyfield gave Iggy a good fight. It would be a terrific comeback story if Holy pulls it off. But if he does, he should immeidately retire. He would have no shot at beating either of the Klitschkos at this point in his career.

EDIT: He probably would take another money-making fight given his financial situation. But it would be suicide.

 

Hard to defend boxing when fights like this are made.The WBA should never sanction such a disgrace.
