Deontay is already indirectly helping to promote the Joshua/Parker fight. The more he has Joshua’s name in his mouth the more attention Joshua’s next opponent will receive which isn’t a bad thing. At the end of the day the bigger AJ is when Wilder gets his shot, the bigger the reward, especially should he win. Wilder hasn’t quite made himself a household name yet but he’s doing all the right things with the route he chose to take for his career.
It is? Well, one look at basically every thread on this General Forum front page will tell you Wilder-Joshua isn't the biggest fight that can be made. So you'd better go explain it to them.
Holy smokes! Sheesh... I thought Stiverne, Washington, Arreola, Szpilka, Firtha, Molina, Scott and Lachovich were ranked? That’s insane how low these guys were ranked....or not ranked at all.
Obviously, the guy who created that list has no concept that the titlists follow boxing ratings that are produced by the sanctioning bodies that run boxing. Since he didn't follow them for Wilder, could the same guy who made that list show us where 19 of Anthony Joshua's opponents were ranked before he faced them? I'm guessing even guys like Dillian Whyte and Breazeale and Molina and Martin weren't rated very high by whatever measure he went by when Joshua faced them. For instance, where was Molina ranked after Wilder knocked him out? Probably not 37. And since when do ratings include a rating like Liakhovich's, where they include a ranking 47 followed by "washed up" and "way past his prime.?" What did the same ratings body say about Michael Sprott before Joshua fought him? Let me guess? "Prime? Top 10? Dangerous?"
That is what we have been saying.Americans their is a reason why they are know as the dumbest nation in the world. They think they are special, unique but all they are Arrogant, dumb little girls
Who is a bigger fight than Wilder for Joshua? Maybe Povetkin or Fury? But Tyson is in no condition to fight anytime soon and Povetkin isn’t a title holder. I actually really want to see Povetkin fight both Joshua and Wilder. He’s the wild card at heavyweight in my opinion
TBF to Wilder yes his resume is weak for a guy having 40 fights but outside of Wlad it's not far off Joshua's. People are talking like Joshua has demolished prime ATG level opposition which is not true.
I'm scratching my head trying to figure out which ratings organization is led by a teenager named Jordan.
I honestly couldn’t tell you and I do know these ratings can easily be manipulated to make fights more palatable with promoter influence....but it makes it seem as though Wilder has been fed garbage men, cab drivers and substitute teachers to pad his record. I mean, I knew his resume lacked depth, but looking at those rankings it makes it look completely manufactured
Wlad was shot, was 40+ years old, was coming off a one sided loss to an out of shape ogre, and almost KTFO AJ himself. Not impressed with the Wlad win.
Without Wlad, Joshua beat the same usual suspects. Wilder just beat more of them. That's it. Very entertaining win for Joshua. Loved it. But the UK fans (led by Jordan) are losing touch with reality.
If you read that list put together by someone named Jordan and believe it, then you haven't been following boxing. One glance at Jordan's twitter page explains it all.
