    appears to be on.

Adamek’s promoter, Kathy Duva, said Friday morning that her fighter and Klitschko “seem to have ironed out our differences” for one of the best-possible heavyweight matchups in September.

“I think we’re there,” she said as she was reviewing what she called the final draft of a contract. “We still have cross our T's and dot our I's, though.”

Thus, Adamek will not fight Sam Peter in a title-elimination bout, as had been discussed.

Instead, he’ll take a less-challenging tune-up bout in April. One possibility reported by numerous sources is 38-year-old former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, who was 4-0 last year against journeymen after returning from more than a year away from boxing

Klitschko, who holds two heavyweight belts, is scheduled to face the undefeated up-and-comer Dereck Chisora on April 30.

Good fight. It's a shame that Haye is hiding.

Isn't it amazing how the only person that seems to have a hard time negotiating with the Klitschkos is Haye. Why is that?

I like that Adamek is active and he has a few decent wins on his resume, but I think he gets hammered here. Still, it's an interesting fight between two guys who will be in shape. I don't rate Adamek that highly and he was given all that he could handle by an old, slow, chinny Grant. That doesn't really bode well for him. I expect another Chagaev type encounter only with Adamek being more mobile.

This fight is big news to me :) I'm a fan of adamek and I think he can win with a Close Dec.

fact is wlad never fought a guy like adamek so it will be cool to see how this fight goes down.

Great to see atleast one contender willing to man up and face Wlad. Pity it's a former light heavy. Adamek isn't big enough or powerful enough to beat Wlad I think, but could be able to survive 12 if he runs. Adamek is as true a warrior as they come.

What is this nonsense? He got tagged pretty hard by a guy with a big size and huge reach advantage but convincingly won the fight. This wasn't a majority decision that left Adamek battered.

Don't try and put words into my mouth. I didn't say that it wasn't a clear win for Adamek, but he was given trouble by a slow, old inactive, chinny Grant. Better versions of Grant were destroyed by Lewis in 2 and dumped on his ass by Guinn, who also had similar disparities.

Probably prime vs prime Grant may be seen as comparable to Wlad, same size,
good power, weak chin, Grant was exposed vs Golota and demolished vs Lewis,
Wlad had his bad moments as well ....

... but seriously Grant 2010 aint the same as Wlad 2011
... not the same power not the same speed or technique.
So win over Grant is somehow promissing but that does not
prove anything about Adamek's chances against Wlad.

... or maybe it says that if Wlad would had a bad day, got old
seriously unmotiovated or sick he could be easily outboxed by Adamek.

I'm not the one who said that Adamek was "given all that he could handle." That's what someone like Paul Briggs did, not Grant.

Stop being so touchy for God's sake.

He was given a rough ride by someone people were expecting him to walk through.
