WTF happened to him being willing to do anything to make the fight, even taking the smaller share? He's been saying that for awhile and now he switches at the very last second? Then if Floyd tries to hold him to it, he's ducking, right? Floyd never even said anything about a bigger cut. Pac gave in on his own and now he takes it back when you know Floyd has his mind set on it now. Its another flakey move to me. All his fans have even been using that as proof as him really wanting the fight. Now what? Its one thing to take 50/50 when thats what its always been but 50 starts to seem like less than that when you were told your opponent volunteered to give you more than that. Now it makes it feel like youre losing out on money.

MANILA, Philippines -- Filipino boxing icon Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao said his much-awaited mega-fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. will push through if the American fighter agrees to a 50-50 purse split.

"Wala ng problema doon. Tanggapin na lang n'ya ang 50% na share n'ya at okay na 'yung fight (There are no more problems. If he accepts a 50% share then the deal for the fight is done)," Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao said that if Mayweather accepts a 50-50 purse split, each fighter stands to earn around $50 million to $60 million.

"S'ya na dapat ang mag-oo... Priority ng Top Rank, namin, na matuloy ang laban na 'yun dahil 'yun ang hinihintay mga tao [He has to say yes... The priority of Top Rank is for the fight to push through since people are waiting for that]," Pacquiao said.

But the Filipino boxer added that if Mayweather declines the equal purse split, the mega-fight will not push through.

Pacquiao will instead choose to fight among Juan Manuel Marquez, Timothy Bradley Jr., Miguel Cotto or Lamont Peterson.
Earlier, Mayweather challenged Pacquiao to accept a May 5 fight date, even calling the Filipino boxer a "punk."

But Pacquiao and his representative, Michael Koncz, would prefer to fight at the end of May, so the mega-fight can be held at a new temporary arena that can hold over 45,000 spectators

Holy $hit Pac, what are you doing to me man?! Build a temporary stadium within 5 months and now make negotiations even harder so that it would take even longer to resolve!

Yep should be, he shouldn't have said anything about being willing to take smaller purse split in the first place though.

I assure you that the biggest money maker in the sport is not ****ed. Why would GBP of all people **** there meal ticket? Floyd doesnt even need to cut them in on anything. Why would Alverez not take a deal that is 10x more than anything he's ever made? He wont turn that down. You have to give him a lil more but not much

Also why is everyone negotiating through the media again. That's what went wrong the 1st time!!!

These lot never learn. Can they just negotiate direct with each other, then let us know when the fight is made.

Floyd should just concede that, 50/50 seems fair.
