That's what they said about Marquez fight, then it made 1.41 mil PPV buys.

Pacquiao-Peterson would sell because stylistically it's something the general fan base would watch; just like the Mayweather-Ortiz fight. Peterson has the style to make an exciting fight that casual fans would want to see.

Manny sounds like he doesn't want this fight. His statement a couple of days, finished by saying that Floyd has no promoter and if his promoter and Floyd cant come to an agreement,it's Floyd's fault..
..found it strange....he seemed to be trying to prevent blame than make the fight!

This last month or two, has really hurt Manny from a public opinion standpoint and his fights will not sell as they have in the past.

Again, public opinion on the Marquez fight wasn't good either, what changed?

Why did so many people buy the fight?

If it ends with Manny looking like he ducked Floyd for May 5th, I think a Pacquiao fight with Lamont Peterson will still do alot better numbers than a Mayweather fight with Guerrero. Balls really in Floyd's court, he needs to call their bluff and just take the fight.

they cannot fight may 26th because they don't have a venue...arum wants to negotiate a venue (try to get casinos to build a temp one or some nonsense) and get it built, in 4 months...to sell $50 tickets

Kinda wish both Pac and Mayweather would just retire, whenever fighters think they are bigger than the sport that made them famous its just time to move on.

Id rather see fighters eagre to fight the best without this primma donna attitude.

Agree. They could take a lot out of how UFC is conducting their fights. Winner EARNS extra.

So Overeem made more than Lesner?

The UFC still has gurantees regardless on the result.

Pacquiao agrees to smaller purse :

    Will Mayweather take the bait?

MANILA, Philippines — The ball is now in Floyd Mayweather’s court.
Manny Pacquiao said from his home in General Santos City that he is going the extra mile in making sure the proposed super fight with the brash and unbeaten American fighter finally happens in 2012.
Pacquiao is willing to take the smaller piece of the pie as long as the dream fight takes place.

AND NOW HE SAYS 50/50 OR NO FIGHT,PACQUIAO KEEPS DUCKING
