Pacquiao is giving the hatton camp until February for his proposed 60/40 split or his team will find somebody else.

Contrary to earlier reports, Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao said on Thursday he is still insisting on a 60-40 split for his proposed “superfight” with British champion Ricky Hatton.
In a text message he sent to ABS-CBN correspondent Dyan Castillejo, Pacquiao maintained that he has not changed his mind regarding the percentage split with Hatton.
“Basta hindi nagbago ang 50-50 sharing the fight will not happen,” said Pacquiao in his text message.
The Filipino boxing champ said he even gave Hatton’s camp until February to decide on the cut, or else, he will find another opponent.
“I will give them until February. ‘Pag bindi pa nagbago, hanap na lang ng ibang kalaban,” Pacquiao said.
The boxer’s statement is contrary to a report posted on Telegraph.co.uk, which said the Pacquiao’s camp has agreed for a 50-50 split.
The report said that Top Rank promoter Bob Arum was able to convince Pacquiao’s handlers about Hatton’s view of the revenue cut.
Arum reportedly said that the tension has already “calmed down”, with the fight expected to be announced officially in the next week.
Pacquiao’s lawyer Jeng Gacal said he has talked with Arum early Thursday morning about the negotiations.
“’Yon nga binigyan kami ng deadline to act on the matter. Otherwise they will pull the plug. I have talked to Manny a few while ago… he's firm on 60-40,” said Gacal.
Observers predict the Pacquiao-Hatton fight to generate at least $60 million.

According to Pacquiao's lawyer, they have not agreed to the proposed 50/50 purse split verbally as opposed to what the hatton camp was saying.

Pac can go **** himself. What a *****.

Hatton has consistently made a shedload of money, he has easily earned more than Pac has in his career. I actually think Hatton is the bigger draw here.

Pac may be P4P number 1, but he is pretty unknown globally, all he really has going for him is the DLH fight, and that is an unknown quantity with regard to his drawing power. The guy is an unproven PPV draw, Hatton is proven.

50-50 is more than fair, he is gonna make a shitload whatever....both bring fans and money to the table, I think Hatton will bring more....either way, why not just make the fight, its a great matchup, good legacy wise, he'll make ****ing millions anyway.

Legacy-wise, this fight will favor Hatton more than Pacquiao. Pacquiao team may think that they deserve more especially with his current status and because he had beaten up dela hoya, whom hatton declined to fight when their team was offerred of the dela hoya fight.

No way, he earned an absolute fortune for the Mayweather fight. I doubt he will ever top that, he took home all the UK PPV money.

    Wery, Wery dissapointed.

Seriously, its 50/50, no arguments. You want to fight someone who can bring in 2 million PPV minimum, fill the arena then you pay the right money, otherwise you can take muggy fights with empty seta and no numbers. I dont care how good pac is, Floyd was better, but he didnt bring in ££ without men like Hatton.

Also, when he realises this and gets in The Ring with hatton, he'll wishhe never agreed to anything. War!
