Every Hatton fight from Kosta Tzyu has been on PPV.

I'm not sure if you are in the UK but if you are not you would not believe the amount of hype that went into the fight. Most people had only heard of PBF once the build up had started.

    - EDIT - I didn't realize they were putting Hatton's fights on PPV in the UK, so that was a major mistake on my part. Does anyone have any data on his PPV buys over there? I still have to believe that it wouldn't surpass the roughly 3 million US ppv buys Pacquiao fights have generated, but I've already been wrong once in this post, so I guess we'll see!!!

What? Hatton has had ONE ppv fight in his career. Pac fought Barrera and Marquez on PPV, and his trilogy with Morales took in a combined million PPV buys, years before Manny ever fought Oscar. Hatton was part of an extremely successful PPV against Floyd, no doubt, and I credit Hatton with helping to pack the Vegas stadium as well. But the majority of the US PPV buys have to be credited to Floyd, who made himself into a major star with the 24/7 series for the fight vs Oscar. Hatton is a GIANT star in the UK, but especially after win against Oscar, Pac is a bigger star in the US. For the record, even Pac's easily my favorite fighter, I still think 50/50 is a fair fight due to the UK PPV buys.

But I still have no clue what you're talking about when you say Hatton who's had one hit PPV has brought in more PPV buys than Pacquiao, who's coming off a bigger PPV than Hatton's ever had, and has had several more PPV fights than Hatton. I know you're a huge Hatton fan, but don't make **** up to try to prove a point.

Not even about that. It is clear from reports that Pac agreed and now is going back on his word. VERY SAD.....

Eh, call it off. Pac shouldn't even see 50% - he's lucky that was offered, Hatton's the champ, Pac is not a major draw for casual boxing fans.

I wish that was the case. I paid £15 (GBP) to watch Hatton in PPV shows against,

    Kostya Tszyu,
    Carlos Maussa,
    Luis Collazo,
    Juan Urango,
Jose Luis Castillo (PPV was on Setanta so it may have been £20 GBP)
    Floyd Mayweather Jr,
    Juan Lazcano,
    Paulie Mallignaggi

8 PPV shows costing me more than £100 GBP combined.

Hatton is in a good position to demand 50%:

    1) He has Golden Boy, HBO and even Pacquiao's own promoter and trainer backing him in this dispute, not to mention that Pacquiao himself had reportedly agreed to a 50/50 split before changing his mind.

    2) He brings $20-30m UK PPV money to the table, as opposed to the $0 UK money Pacquiao will get fighting anyone else.

    3) He is rated top 10 p4p and is The Ring and lineal champ in the division Pacquiao wants to make a home in and the biggest legacy fight he (Pac) has besides Mayweather.

    4) He has name recognition in the States and a fight against him is likely to generate more US PPV buys than any opponent Pacquiao can find (besides Mayweather or DLH).

He may not necessarily be a US PPV draw by himself but certainly he's a "name" opponent for anyone that is (hence Mayweather's fight with him doing far in excess of any other non-DLH bout he had).

50/50 is a fair deal and if Pacquiao doesn't accept it then the fight falling through is on him, which would be a massive shame.

Dude....I agree with the PUSE split 60/40 but Hatton has his OWN FOLLOWING AND FANS in the UK. That is what "he, Himself" has earned. He didn't have to split that down the middle yet he did in order to make the fight happen with PAC.

At first Ricky agreed to 60/40 split with the Purse and US PPV buys and Hatton keeping his options on the UK ppv buys. That in itself was more than fair considering PAC is the man.

But PAC renigged when he heard about the $$$ that was on the table with UK options. The numbers were staggering and quickly asked for a split on those as well. Ricky aggreed! Honestly the first deal was fair and the 2nd deal was generous on part of Hatton.

I hear you when you talk about who is the man...who has the US following ect...but Ricky has a very loyal and "UNREAL" following in the UK that has to be noted....PAC and his team noticed it. With that say PAC is the one not being reasonable.

As the "MAN" Puse split of 60/40 was ideal and fair as the P4P champion....but he had no options that were suppose to be his in the UK.

Lee Mc and Roly; I edited my post. Pretty substantial error on my part. Anyone have any data on Hatton's UK ppv numbers, or a place I could look to find them myself? Thanks.

You can even step in the ring with him against PACQUIAO if you want. Fact remains that PACQUIAO owns the title POUND FOR POUND greatest fighter, and he earned it. And that alone commands a PRICE. :hat

You are 1 damn good Mathematician

What does Hatton get for a 50/50 split? (think for a minute, take a couple of you need it which in this case you probably do)

......... let me help you $0

or maybe I need to slam my head on the wall and get back to reality and remind myself that Manny has always put on the most exciting fights but it's not going to change the fact that he is still a Filipino.

    This is about stature

:good....can't argue that! PAC is being greedy and I was defending him before knowing everything that transpired.
