I'm just incredibly impressed by how willing and generous Rick is being in order to make this fight happnen. I just wish PAC and his team were professional enough to see that and meet not EVEN half way since Ricky and his team are going beyond what is expected.

It's interesting how easy it is for people to castigate and accuse a person of greed despite having no hard evidence of such. :huh Amidst all the news that's been spreading, not a single statement coming from Pacquiao himself, has been quoted or televised. The closest by far is a text message supposedly coming from him and an interview of his attorney... nothing more, everything less. :think

officially that's what they're fighting for, of course they're fighting for what the market wants that goes without saying.

    This just in...

    Pacman remains firm on 60-40!

    By Nick Giongco
Manny Pacquiao is steadfast in not agreeing to face Ricky Hatton if he doesn’t get the bigger slice of the pie in the revenue sharing. “If it’s 50-50, forget about it (the fight),” Pacquiao told Manila Bulletin and Fightnews late Thursday afternoon. “If I agree on the offer of 50-50, it would not look good on me. I made a sacrifice when I agreed to fight De La Hoya for a smaller percentage. But not this time. I will be the laughing stock if I agree to the 50-50 sharing,” said Pacquiao, who offically became boxing’s biggest draw when he stopped Oscar De La Hoya last December.

Arum has made an annoucement in the US about the fight taking place on May 2 in Las Vegas after he persuaded key figures inside Pacquiao’s camp about the logic of accepting an equal sharing.

“I was enlightened and Mr. Arum explained it clearly why Manny has to accept the 50-50 sharing,” Wakee Salud said, one of Pacquiao’s advisers.

Arum said Hatton’s huge popularity in the United Kingdom will translate into enormous pay-per-view buys that will be equally shared by the two fighters, unlike in the past when everything went to Hatton’s pocket.

Informed about the deadline imposed by Arum for Pacquiao to decide once and for all, Pacquiao just shrugged it off.
“What deadline? What do they think of me? I’m easy-to-get? What if I impose my own deadline on them?”

Still, Pacquiao remains open about the fight being saved. “As long as it’s not 50-50, it’s okay with me,” said Pacquiao.

It sounds like PAC is using "PRINCIPLE" as the reason NOT to take the 50/50 split straight down the middle but he won on Principle when he made the first proposal of 60/40 on the PURSE...then re-affirmed "PRINCIPLE" when he agreed to the new terms of 50/50 after learning of the UK options and what that would mean in terms of net profit for him. People have been in his ear about milking Hatton it seems and that's a damn shame. I don't think the fight is gonna happen folks. I know ARUM is PISSED! He is all about money and this means he's loosing out on some major paper as well everyone else involved.

ray hatton has said that they won't even take 51:49, it's 50:50 or the fight is off.

    Er no.

He got 60-40 off Mayweather yet kept all the UK revenue which was 1.3million buys over $25million.

Pac wants 60% of the US PPV and 60% of the UK revenue.

    The guy is an idiot.

I agree with them. There is no need to bend over backwards anymore than they already have. For christ sakes Hatton is a champion as well! Sure PAC is the MAN! But they are BOTH Professionals and should have that respect for one anther. It seems PACs ego is off the hook!

    What a ****!

How on earth can this guy claim 60% of the UK revenue?

His advisers really dont get what Arum is saying as in 50-50 means 50-50 accross the board.

All that needs to be said.

Any other bout wouldnt garner him over 10 million, with the exception of Mayweather. But Mayweather's camp has repeatedly said they are happily retired.

Pac's camp is either semi-******ed or scared.
