somehow, it's not fun when pac is now always the favorite. i think i am now for a hatton-pac match so that he could be an underdog once again.

about valero, i think he is not that bad as a lot of people here think. valero really is a live bet here. i would give him around 20% chance of ko'ing pac with his power.

Valero is appalling, bar his power which by the way he has only displayed against poor competition, he has nothing. To be fair he's straightening his punches a bit more but they are still far to wide. Manny would have a field day with the straight left hand.

Pac is one fearless stud if he takes this fight, or it comes off which I doubt...its all just hype...but if its made and Pac KO'S Valero I cant help but at that moment consider becoming a Pac hugger.

The only chance Valero has at this point in his career is to land the KO punch. That is a very likely possiblility but I doubt it will happen....>PAC is a southpaw and so is Valero...Pac has the speed, reflexes and exprience to win and win dominantly...but Valero has the POWER and youth. It should be an exciting fight b/c both are southpaw and PAC can finally incorporate ALL his skill sets that we were all unable to really see since Pac is usually fighting orthodox fighters. KO for PAC by round 7

This is a pointless, pointless fight. Might have made sense while Pac was at 130, but there are bigger names available who would be in slightly more competitive fights. I can't see this being anything more than a complete blowout. Pac fighting someone with as poor of defense as Valero is little more than legalized battery.

Valero has beaten some good opponets but Vincente Mosquera was by far his best opponent and he struggled early only to dominate the rest of the fight. It's an intriguing fight between ed and Pac but Pac should win against a fighter who is fairly young and green even as a WBA champion.

Who is this available fights you have in mind that owuld be ready for november? JMM-Casa, Campbell-Guzman, Juan Diaz-Katsidis all have fights scheduled and are unlikely to take a fight too soon after their last fight. Baring in mind their all going into a tough fight and simply not a tuneup.

Valero is the best opponent available, and this fight will be more demanded sooner or later. IMO Valero could easily stay at 130 and become the king there, then a fight between him and Pac would be alot bigger. Valero is a dangerous young champion in his prime, this fight is good for Pac considering the circumstances.

If I was Pac, id seriously work on defense for this fight. Last he wants is a freak KO win for Valero ruining his future plans. Pac's stock would drop massively if he gets KO'd here, and Valero has the capability to do so.

So many people have been crying for this fight for so long and some even claiming that Pac fears Valero, now that it's nearly on people will claim it's a soft touch, pretty typical. :patsch

This is a good fight, all the others worth fighting are hooked up with fights so this is better than nothing.

well all other top lightweights are busy and would have less than 2 months of preparation if they would fight pac in november. but i guess some of them won't mind fighting pac in such a short notice? not that i disapprove of valero as an opponent.

Considering the lack of quality opponents who would be ready for a november fight, Valero is by far the best choice.

I don't think Valero is on Pac's level and he has not fought anyone near Pac's level but you have got to give the guy a punches chance. If Pac doesn't use his head and gets drawn in to a toe-to-toe battle he could get upset, however if he uses hs boxing ability like he did against Diaz then i see him winning by KO or wide UD.

    Good fight either way.

After this i would like to see him fight the winner of Campbell - Guzman then if JMM can get by Casamayor it will hopefully set up a huge unification fight with Pac - JMM 3.
