Margarito and Williams are the two best choices out there.

The edge goes to Margarito since he seems to be at top of the div.
He just defeated the #1 guy and got good PPV numbers for it.

Definitely the highest profile matchup at that weight!:deal

Margarito vs De La Hoya would be an event, and hopefully an exciting matchup is Oscar chose to go toe-to-toe. I can't see the latter happening, but I would probably more like to see Margarito go for some legacy fights with Williams and Santos. Beating Santos would make him a two-divisional champion, and would avenge one of his losses.

Well, well, well..... after all Hoya said from the get go "it is personal", now we know what he meant by "personal"..... He wanted to give Pac a low percentage of the purse and kick his ass in the ring at the same time. :yep

That's a guaranteed loss for Oscar if he takes that fight. Something tells me Oscar doesn't want to go out with scores of 120-108 x 3 and look like a fool at the end of the night trying to hit Winky with something meaningful. He probably has a chance against Margo of squeaking by on decision with his fancy flurries stealing rounds.

 Ok you ****ing clowns are just getting out of hand. He fights Floyd Mayweather to a damn Split Decision loss but Winky will shut him out completely? What does that say about Winky and Flloyd.

Don't forget that Oscar is a boxer first, one of the most skilled boxers of our generation. NOBODY has ever shut him out and ever will. I would favor Winky, but it would be close.

If only Oscar had the confidence you have in him then he would have faced Wright a long time ago. Let's face it, Winky is a terrible match for anyone smaller than 160lbs.

    Just look at the facts:
Floyd Mayweather runs his mouth about being the best at even 154 and calls out Winky. Wright challenges him on his bs then Mayweather shuts up real quick.
Margarito called Wright out then when Winky accepts the challenge Arum et al quickly shut up as well.
Rinse and repeat with Pavlik and most recently Paul Williams and you'll get the picture. No one really wants to fight Winky because his style is difficult to beat let alone look good against. Winky would embarass Oscar badly and DLH knows it that's why this fight will never happen. I remember there was a poll on ESB and nearly everyone thought Wright should shut down Mayweather easily at 154. PBF barely edged Oscar with a SD - Wright would get a WIDE UD against either without breaking a sweat.

He fought someone with little chance no one ever heard of. Manny vs Hoya would draw big numbers.

You're kidding, right? Money May landed twice as many punches, had a sky high power punch percentage, and was never in trouble with the much bigger man with the vaunted left hook.

Yeah I'm a huge Wright fan and still rate him in my P4P....but you need your nose removed from his ******* if you think he could win a wide UD against Oscar without breaking a sweat.

    Schaefer is qoted as saying:

As for De La Hoya, Schaefer said he still intends to fight Dec. 6. De La Hoya has repeatedly said it will be the last fight of his storied career.
Schaefer would not say who the possible opponents are but said he had a list of three fighters "and I am already negotiating with one of them."

    Mora or Margo I think..?

Well, I'm not a huge Wright fan and I'm calling it as I see it. You, on the other hand, are a huge ODLH fanboy and should take your own crude advice. I stand by my assessment that Winky would school Dela hoya. I can make a poll if you like and see what neutral parties think on that issue.
