I doubt very much that Vlad gets dropped a lot in sparring. If he did, it would be front page news and big time Internet gossip. We'd all know about it.

As for Thompson, I don't expect that he'll be able to hang in there with Vlad this time. Tony was tough as nails in 2008, but 4 years ago is a very long time in boxing. I doubt that Thompson has the same capabilities now that he had in 2008.

No disrespect to Thompson...I've always regarded him as tops. But in July he's going up against an ATG, and it's not going to be pretty.

 

And i remember some sparring partners who wants to kick Wlad´s ass before the Peter I fight, realized how tough he is in the ring and how hard he fights.

At this time he fought all good available contenders in the US. Chris Arreola was one ot them. Wlad was never dropped in sparring. It is the other way round. Some of the sparrings partners do not lead more than 2 rounds.

Emanuel Steward mentioned in an interview that Wlad makes no mistakes in sparring.

 

Your analysis is logical but what ATG? Who is the ATG? Wlad is good for his time but not an ATG. What has he done that was unique or remarkable? What good fighters on his resume? I like Wlad and I respect him tremendously but we gotta be realistic here.

 

Vlad is an excellent fighter, he would have knocked out Holmes, Spinks, Tyson, Weaver, you name it and Vitali?! Wow!!!!!!!

Yeah for his fight against Thompson. Why are his fights not on HBO?? Or Showtime?? Because his jab and grab style his fighting like a man that knows he can't take a punch. EPIX???? Most people does not even have that channel here. That is lower than fighting on ESPN 2. Hell even ESPN 360 dropped his fights. I know your his cook and that is great but WLad needs to fight like he did when he was young. Yeah he will get hit on his chin and go down but at least people will watch. Trust me Epix will drop his fights because they are losing money.

 

Yeah your insane. Holmes would have sliced Wlads paper skin with that jab. Look what Mercer did to his face. Wlad can't handle a good jab. Yeah maybe Wlad beats Spinks being he is so small. But Tyson would have knocked Wlad out very fast. And Vitali would kick Wlads ass too.
