Just heard from a member of Antonio Tarver's promotional team that Tarver is likely going to be fighting on April 12 against Clinton Woods on the undercard of the Chad Dawson-Glen Johnson bout.

Showtime will televise both fights (D'oh) from St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa.

This is not 100%done and in boxing terms, that means it could fall apart. But its look real close to being done.

Sure I heard that news a while ago but it still is great if it happens. Should build up Dawson vs Woods and maybe give us a chance of unification in the division.

Good news, I like the fight in a B- squad sort of way.

Woods will put Tarver away without too much trouble - I would back him to beat Jones as well, as Woods has improved greatly since the thrashing, whilst Jones has gone downhill a fair bit. I haven't seen enough of Dawson to be convinced of the outcome really.

LOL. The Tarver fight is the main event, not the undercard.

Regardless of the timing of the news or who fights when, this would be a great development for the LHW division. I think Woods and Dawson will displace their older opponents from the title picture, setting up a big unification for later in the year.

And then the winner could get Calzaghe or, more likely, Kessler.

And yes I have friends that will be there, the Forum is 10 minutes from their house. I wish it was Tarver-Dawson though, but Tarver apparently is a big vagina.

Tarver almost lost to a 60 year-old Rocky.

Woods and Tarver are both old....if Tarver can regain his form of a few years ago...he should win
