So this bum is 35, fights others leftovers as his best fight (Porter), and now fights once a year. What if the best legendary welterweights did that in the 80's? What if Hearns never fought Duran or Sugar Ray until after 35 years old?

I like Avanesyan but no one wants to see the fight happen like that. I hope some of these youngsters and prospects beat these guys that are just holding up the division and trying to milk boxing fans for a lot of money in fights no one is asking for.

Why not? How surprised would you be to read that TC brought Avanesyan in for sparring before the Spence fight? Wouldn't be weird at all.

If this is a meaningful fight he needs time to recover from that just shows Spence vs Crawford is past the expiration date.

I remember in 2019 I would be genuinely excited when either guy fought. It just isn't so anymore.

Imagine if you heard Ennis vs Ortiz Jr got made. Personally, I would be more excited and more willing to pay for it.

Look at Ezzard Charles. He beat the best murderers row ATG Charley Burley twice in a span of a month. He also beat 2 ATGs Archie Moore and Lloyd Marshall within 2 months. These cats today spend too much time waiting around instead of fighting.

 

Lies. Crawford gave Spence team a month ago 3 demands. Spence agree to all the 3 demands and sent it back to Crawford 2 weeks ago. Crawford never responded to Spence's team. Now out the blue you got a fight December 10??? That fight wasn't just made, that had to been on the table for a while. Sounds like Crawford didn't have plans to fight Spence! It's a duck for me!

 

I think “pretty soon” is here. I won’t be paying for the PPV IF this fight ever happens. It’s lost the appeal.
