Since Wilder didn't break a bean of sweat vs Buffet there should be no delay ordering this match up. I bet Wilder signs the Whyte contract pronto to duck Luis.

Even if wilder faces him next year Ortiz is older and luis would of been out of ring for well over a year I won’t be as excited, it would still be wilders best opponent by far but it takes a lot of the shine off the fight.

To be fair to Wilder it's happened when he faced terrible opposition as well. Wawrzyk failed a test prior to their supposed fight. These fighters failing tests when facing Wilder may have more to do with the WBC's VADA testing requirement catching a higher number of cheaters than Wilder's team rigging the tests or bribing VADA. Fact is a lot of top boxers are doping.

Wilder has said he'd be willing to fight Ortiz even after the failed test so lets see if he does back up his words or once again is it just all talk again.

So everytime that Deonkey is forced to fight someone with a pulse, he gets VADA to frame them with a failed test result, so he can back out of the fight.

Its got to the point now where its becoming a pattern.

And we are waiting now for him to reorganise the fights against Povetkin and Ortiz....

    Its all talk

Wilder will end his career without having faced anyone of note.

He is the American version of Brian Nielsen

I think we all know what the answer to that one will be.

I was surprised when this fight was originally announced, as it seemed completely out of the usual pattern for Wilder, and after the Povetkin fiasco I was justifiably sceptical. I think I even voted on a poll that the fight wouldn't materialise, so I reckon I have a pretty good handle on how Wilder operates by now, and I would imagine you do too.

He'll ignore Ortiz from here on out and continue his bombast against the bigger names in the division without fighting a single one of them. That's what he did after Povetkin, and it's what he'll do here.

I think there's a strong chance Wilder will get an injury which will keep him out until after Joshua fights Parker.
